1 Answer

Ipod Actually, i cant remember the type cuz i took it to a mechanic but what happned was a kid dropped my ipod in water and spent there like 3hrs and after we opened it and took some water out but taking to a mechanic after like 2/3 weeks, he made it atleast power up but later he found on of the compnets on the circuit board had rusted and tried blowing through this component and it kinda blinked for a few minutes and stopped. o it looks to be that the board got damaged and I probably need a nu one. So where can i buy it or can this be fixed? Thanks a lot

Try playing a few songs. sometimes it works the kinks out itself, just depends. if that doesn't work, i would reccomend you get a new one before it affects the rest of the player (which supposedly has happened to a friend of mine).

According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the
IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one
IPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the
computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the
computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to
factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase
all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back
to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated
with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of
your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary
computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if
you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't
have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the
IPod, which will erase all music and data."

Sounds like you have a lcd problem. Try sending it to an ipod repair service http://www.ipodrefresh.com for a diagnostic test.

Accidently dropped ipod touch in a bowl of water.

Well, how long ago was it in water, and how long was it in the water itself? I dropped an MP3 one time in water, and it took a LONG time to dry out, even then.. the MP3 did NOT work properly ever agian. There was many glitches with it. You may be dry out of luck with this.

Wet iPod..

LOL...i'm not sure...but i think you shouldn't have turned it on cuz that sounds like in that 2 seconds time, everything burnt out inside of it. like the chips n stuff... you should've kept it for 2-3 days so the inside would dry out....

try to dissemble n do a clean up inside..using an air blower-can or a cloth if possible. n then put it back n turn it on.

Unlocking a 30gb ipod

The great thing about unlocking iPods is that it is very easy, and almost never wipes out the data.

To unlock the iPod, simply plug it into a computer with iTunes. The iPod should unlock, or at least display the "Do not disconnect" screen. It will not automatically sync with a foreign (other computer than it was originally synced with) computer without first asking you, and if you click no, the iPod should be unlocked.

If this does not solve the problem, notify me and I will try to find a different method of unlocking the iPod.

Happy to help
