The older printer is a centronics printer and not a serial printer.
You can not mix the two without a conversion system. Best you try the USB formt.

How to restore your inkjet printer so it prints just like new!

Inkjet printers all operate the same basic way. There are differences but the basics are the same for any inkjet devices. Eventually a buildup occurs enough that your printer doesn't print. Cleaning cycles use more and since inkjet ink is worth about $8000 a gallon, this is a expensive way to clean something.

So what can we do to clean this just a bit cheaper? We need to find a suitable solvent that will dissolve these deposits without harming the print head. And the one that works great and is dirt cheap is good old household white vinegar. Next we want to get some lint free (preferred but not critical) paper towels. And a clean clear table top to work. You may want to put down some newspaper. This isn't that messy to do but it can get the odd bit of dissolved ink on things.

Now we take the printer and remove the paper and the ink cartridges and set aside. The print head is a small stamp sized thing on the bottom of the cartridge holder. Take about 1/3 of a sheet of paper towel and wet it with vinegar. Next you want to get the wetted towel under the print head. It should fit as this is where the paper goes you print. The towel is a thicker but it is soft. move the print head back and forth over the towel. When the towel is covered with ink, change it and repeat. Keep repeating this until the towel comes clean. It will only take a few minutes. When the towel is clean then you are done. Replace the ink cartridges and paper and you are ready to print.

Change recite information from previous owner name

Esther:

The exact functionality you are requesting is located on page 52 of the Casio TE-2000 user manual. Pages 48 through 55 are a good read for you as well. You can access the manual at this location:

http://support.casio.com/en/manual/006/TE-2000_EN.pdf

Specifically, you will be changing the store logo and message header information to reflect your current store. The process is rather straight forward, and only requires about 5 to 10 minutes of work on your part.

Specifically, you'll need to decide on a few things first:
  1. Do I want a Graphic Logo?
  2. Do I want a Logo Message?
  3. Do I want top print a message at the bottom of the receipt?
Those three questions will help you program your unit. As the instructions on Page 52 outline, you'll need to insert the PGM (programming) key into the machine, and then do the following:
  1. PGM Key, turn to Program
  2. Press key '3'
  3. Press key 'Sub Total'
  4. Enter: '2122'
  5. Press key 'Sub Total'
From there, you have to enter a special code made up of the first 3 questions:

In your head, start at 0, and then add:

  1. If you wish a Graphic Logo: Add 0 (in your head)
  2. If you wish a Text Logo Message: Add 1 (in your head)
  3. If you wish to print a commercial message, Add 2 (in your head)
  4. If not, just add 0
  5. If you wish to print a bottom message, Add 4 (in your head)
  6. If not, just add 0
Now, take that total (whatever it is), and enter it. So, if you want a Text message AND a commercial message at the top of the receipt, but no bottom message, it would be: 1 + 2 + 0 or 3. You would then enter '0000000' (that's 7 0's). So, that would be '30000000' You then press the 'CA /AMT = /TEND' key. And then 'Sub Total'. From there, you can program your message following the instructions.

I know it can sound confusing, but these are just ways the machine understands what exactly you want it to do. Please refer to the user manual, as it outlines the exact process you need to do. You will also need to refer to the character code table in the user manual (on page 54) just to be able to enter text as it is.

I hope this has helped,

--Phillip

My casio pcr-t465 does not print across the entire tape. what is wrong?

There are many reasons for this. Faulty paper, rubber roller not locking into printer fully when lid closed, dirty print head, faulty print head, spring missing from print head, liquid damage, etc. It will really need to be diagnosed. you can try rubbing the print head with a dry soft cloth to see if it improves. Otherwise, see a dealer to have the fault traced.

How to install a hp officejet wireless printhead

You can solve this problem yourself by just following the below steps
1.Turn on the HP printer and flip open the top cover.

2.Hold the "Resume" button until the carriage assembly moves to the left side of the printer.

3.Flip up the print head latch on the carriage.

4.Use the handle to pull the print head up and out of its cavity.

5.Shake the new print head five or six times before removing its packaging.

6.Take the protective caps off the new print head. Do not shake the print head after removing the caps.

7.Press the print head firmly into the printer using the color-coded slots as a guide.

8.Close the print head latch and press down firmly.

9.Close the printer's top cover. The printer will automatically align the new print head and print an alignment page.

Thanks.
Have a great day.

I want to save my resume picture as my image file..but i was not able to find ways to cut it from the document and save it in My pictures folder..

Open your resume file in whatever program you used to create it. Press Print Screen on the keyboard (usually next to F12) to take a snapshot of the whole file and save it as a .bmp or .jpg file.
Open Windows Paint. Load the picture in to it using the File menu.
Then select the dotted line box in the drawing tools. Move the mouse to top left of where you want to start cutting and press and hold the left mouse button.
Now with the button still pressed move the mouse accross and down to where you want the cutting to stop and release the button. It will put a box around the bit that you want to keep. Click on Cut (scissors) and go to the File menu and click New and then click Dont save. Then click Paste and it will paste your cut image in to the new empty file. save the new file with a different name to the original so you don't overwrite it.

I want to know if it is possible topause a slide show and save an image toa folder

Thanks for choosing fixya.com

Most slide shows will have buttons on the bottom to pause and resume. Others you can click them to pause. If none of those are available you won't be able to pause the slide show.

You can however get the images you want to save by using either the "Print Screen" button or a program like "camstudio" to record the screen into images.

I'll cover the "Print screen" button here since its much easier.

First off locate the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard, this is usually above the arrow keys and may only say "PRT SCR"

Now press print screen, open up an application like mspaint, photoshop, or gimp (Any imaging program will do).
Go to "Edit >> Paste" or press CTRL+V to paste the screen image.

You can then use the imaging applications crop or cut features to cut out the image you want to keep.

Hope this helps you out.

Hmm. That is almost NEVER a paper problem, so forget about that.
It is always difficult to diagnose head problems without seeing the machine.
It can be a dirty thermal head, but that's not common unless something has been spilled on it. If you want to try cleaning the head, open the printer, and find the head. It is usually a small aluminium block that clamps against the paper when the printer is closed. it will always sit against the front of the paper. On that block, you will see tiny lines all very close together. They go to a connector at one end, and a thin black line at the top of the head. Wipe this black line firmly with a dry cotton bud.

Here is a picture of a thermal head:

http://www.jarltech.co.uk/ger_new/new/pix/products/web/printhead.jpg

Just above the light brown strip, you can just see the black line. This is what you would rub clean.

Otherwise, make sure the paper is clamping hard against the head while closed. If the clamp is not pressing with the same force at both ends of the head, then you will miss some printing. Try pressing against the back of the paper at the head while it prints, and see if it prints any more than before, then you know if your'e on the right track.

Hope this helps.

Mark.

Will it mess up my printer if i pulled the paper out

No. But, do this while the power is off. And get a firm grip on the center of the paper and pull with increasing constant pressure until the paper come out. You don't want to risk tearing the paper. Should that happen, open the cover and see if you can't pull it out backwards. In fact, if there is more paper stickng out the top than the front, pull it out from that direction.

After you get the paper out, remove the paper from the feed tray. Turn the printer on and let it go through its startup diagnostic (that's what all the commotion and noise is about when you turn it on.) Once complete, add some paper to the tray and from either the LCD Panel menu options, run the print head alignment test and set the values according to what lines line up exactly and punch those numbers in. The print head alignment test may also be available to you from the printer's program menu tools or from the Start Menu, Printers and when your printer shows up in the box, right click your printer, choose Properties and there may be a set of tools from there that will run the print head alignment test.

That's the long and short of it, Yes, pull it out from above, from the feed tray or from the front, whichever has the most paper exposed. Then run the print head alignment test to reset the alignment.

Worldvet

I want to change my name on line. It is Marydwagner@aol.com I want it to be marydphillips@aol.com How can I make this happen ?

If you are using aol as your service provider and are using their browser, go to the settings tab at the top left of the screen. In settings there will be a heading under accounts or users. Click on it and follow the directions to add a screen name to your account. You are allowed 6 or 7 I believe. First and foremost the name has to be available at aol. You may be dissapointed to find out that the name is already in use by someone else.
