There is a mis-alignment in the paper feeder, get it realigned by the technician, or just service ur printer.nothing to worry.

How do I get rid of paper jam that stays on even if nothing jammed

My guess is that there is a piece of paper somewhere blocking a light beam or in a contact switch.
Try a little air if you can't manually feed a sheet of paper. Use the heaviest bond you have.

Paper feed problem

Hi

This is happening due to paper jam on the gear or roller of the paper feed mechanism. Check for any small bits of paper or sheet stuck. To check lift up the top plastic lid of the Canon printer. Check to see if a jammed sheet of paper is visible inside the printer. Remove the cartridges and check for any small paper bits stuck under the print head. Pull the paper out gently through the bottom end of the printer(if any). Close the top plastic lid. Power On the printer and check.

If it doesn't work then power off the printer, wait 10 seconds and power it back on. try once again to print. If it doesn't work then Open the Canon printer software. Click "Options" and then select the "Clean Print Heads" button.

Error: open upper cover exit jam

Feed Jam or Exit Jam ecblank.gif ecblank.gif dot.gif ecblank.gif 1. Remove the tray and clear any misfed sheets as given above.

2. Open the top cover.

WARNING! The fuser area will be hot. This area is clearly marked. Do not touch it.

CAUTION! Never expose the image drum unit to light for more than 5 minutes. Never expose the image drum unit to direct sunlight. Always hold the image drum unit by the ends or from the top. Never touch the surface of the green drum inside the image drum unit.
3. Carefully lift out the image drum, complete with the toner cartridge. Be careful not to touch or scratch the green drum surface.

4. Remove any jammed sheets from the paper path.

5. Re-install the image drum complete with toner cartridge, ensuring that it correctly locates into the slots on each side of the printer.

6. Close the top cover and press down to latch it closed.

7. The printer will warm up and commence printing when ready. he page lost through the jam will normally be reprinted.

NOTE If the edge of the jammed paper protrudes (or can be seen) from the exit, reinstall the image drum, close the top cover and switch the printer on. Remove the jammed paper from the exit when the exit roller begins rotating after a few seconds after switching on. However, if the jammed paper cannot be removed, contact a service representative.

Canon MP210 Paper Jam

A common issue is moisture. As the relative humidity changes, the paper will absorb some of the excess moisture. (Ink jets don't get as hot as other printers; but they do have temperature changes during operation.)

Unfortunately, the only solution that I have ever found is to use paper from a just opened package. Try to keep only enough paper in the printer for a short duration of printing (1-2 weeks). Keep the rest of an open package of paper somewhere else where the temperature and humidity stays fairly constant.

I hope this helps.

Lift lid to continue printing

OK, Based on the information provided I think I can offer a solution. They are getting open and close top cover and the unit will print a few pages and stop. I will assume the machine is indicating paper jam (although not confirmed) and no paper is in the machine. A maint. kit was recently installed.
The problem is likely the separation clutch.
The clutch is located in the paper tray (tray 2 and tray 3 if installed) just to the right of the roller.
Heres the test:
Remove the roller and the clutch. The clutch will slide off the shaft after the roller is removed.
reinstall the roller.
Run a paper path test for the tray you removed the clutch from or just print something multi pages.
If the machine prints more then the few pages at a time without giving the error we have solved the problem.
You need a Sep. Clutch.

NOW PAY ATTENTION:
You may get a jam error printing without the clutch installed BUT there will be paper in the printer. This is because without the clutch the machine may feed more than one sheet at a time. but if the paper is making it into the machine the clutch is the issue.
Hope this helps

Error LED blinking after paper jam, won't print

I have a similar but different model B4300. Several others, & I have found that a small piece of paper 1/2 square may lodge under a plastic guide, holding open a switch. This is very difficult to notice if you don't know where to look.
Open top lid
Remove the ink cartridge/roller drum as a single unit.
Look in the printer at the metal roller in front.
A Plastic strip on top & in front of the roller covers 2 square holes which should look dark. On your LEFT, as you face the unit, there is a small magnetic switch, to the LEFT of the LEFT square hole, under the plastic.
In my case, the paper was seen as white in the hole, and extended under the switch. I was able to grasp it with a small medical forceps, next to the switch. By gently twisting, I pulled it out without taking the unit apart.
The printer then worked perfectly after the paper under the switch was removed.

Dell 1600n Will only print with sheet feeder open

Rollers may be worn out and not properly grabbing paper or a gear may be broken. You should be able to inspect by lifting cover to feeder and watching as paper is pulled through.

If the jammed sheet is entirely within the printer, remove the sheet as follows:

Printing automatically restarts from the page that jammed. If the Paper light stays on after removing all jammed paper, open and close the printer cover to clear the error.

'paper jam' error on canon pixma ip4300

Hi guys, I eventually found a solution to the problem for my printer. With the top cover open, I pushed a sheet of 120 micron thickness A4 clear plastic binding cover through the exit tray as far as it would go to rest against the bottom row of rollers. I switched the printer off then back on again and as the rollers lifted momentarily, I pushed the sheet of plastic as far up through the machine as I could before the rollers went down again - it went in a fair distance. The printer then ejected the plastic sheet. I then put the plastic sheet into the paper tray and tried to print a blank document page. The plastic fed through cleanly and my printer has been working since without any error messages. I hope this works for you.
