Mitsubishi wd 62525 chassis

Hi,
after a power outage, my timer light keeps on blinking and the tv would not turn on. after i got a tv repair person to look at it, he told be to order a chassis then he can fix it.
what is a chassis and could a power outage cause it to break? chassis = $850 + $250 labor. is it worth it? is there anything else i can do? thank you.

our problem is the same power outage tv would not reset light kept blinking had warranty so we were able to get the chassis rebuilt but it has been 3 months and tech was here today and now they don't have all the cables to hook chassis back up but it is the chassis and it was listed as a 945 dollar repair, not sure what this kit they have to buy now is but what the heck happend to my cables that were there when my chassis left? I am so sick of customer service these days if I did my job like most of these places I would not have one, not to mention now we have to wait another week for his part to come in, no they didn't have it shipped overnight, some customer service it will be 4 months by the time the tv is fixed if they get it right this next time, what a warranty and it is through Fry's electronics in Tempe, do not do not buy from there it is a long time for warranty approvals do anything you can to buy from someone who can have local in house repairs

I would recomend going to the following link and getting the service manual , they will email it to you after purchase and then it will entitle you to free on line tech support chances are its a minor problem with the PWB board that is happening. the Tech evidently doesnt know mitsubishis very well. Heres the link.

Green blinking timer light on my WD 62525 tv

That symptom is almost always caused by bad capacitors that are known to fail through ou the five circuits boards within the chassis. Usually the DM board and The Power Board caps fail which can cause the non stop blinking timer led. You can get the V26 Chassis DM / Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the caps with repair instructions that will often repair that issue.

Blinking green timer light does not go off, cannot turn on tv

this problem on these tv's can be caused by a couple of things one is some bad caps in the power supply the other is the bad caps in the dmd board then in that case you normally would need to have the dmd chassis replace at a repair center.

My timer light keeps blinking on my Mitsubishi-TV not watchable

tv is not locked up, you have a lot of capacitors that have gone bad on the boards that make up the chassis. We have been sending the chassis in to Mitsubishi to be rebuilt. Some people have been doing the capacitor changing themselves but, this is a very involved job.

Alot of times on these Mitsubishi tv, there are about 4 boards that have cappacitors that blow. If your lucky, it may just be the capacitors on the power board.

There is a tiny reset button to the left of the timer light. Press with a pin or something small, wait 60 seconds. Viola!
