I just got my phone on Monday, activated it on Tuesday.Tuesday night and today, it has been randomly cutting off and may come back on by itself and may not. If it doesn't I have to turn it back on but sometimes it won't even come on then, I usually have to take the battery out and put it back in and then try. I don't know what is wrong or what I can do. It hasn't been dropped and it hasn't gotten wet??? Please help! It's a brand new phone!

I think you should call Samsung call center service
and they will be able to activate the phone for you. The
agent will give you the steps to go about it or activate it

OMG my phone just started to do the same thing today and I am lost as to why. Let me know if you figure out what the issue is. I hit messages it goes to navigation system, go to make a call it goes to calendar. I can have my hand on the side and it just starts going to whatever app it wants.
I am sorry but whenever any modern day electronic equipment is exposed to water, especially if it was on. Then it will be a total loss. You see there is an instantaneous, chemical reaction, as soon as the water and the electronics mix. Current tracks, where it is NOT meant to be, and causes catastrophic damage, and no amount of "Drying out" will ever do anything, as the damage has already been done. You will have to get a new phone, it is as simple as that sorry.
I believe that the ribbon attaching the keyboard and the screen may have become loose, that is why you are not able to make inputs to your screen. If your fone is still under warranty you should get it replaced as this is a manufacture fault.
I had to return mine to the Verizon store and they gave me a new one.
This is what happened. I just received the phone from the mail brand new from the Verizon Wireless online store. However, I forgot to charge the battery when i turned it on to activate it. I did start charging it soon after though, and I dialed the *228 and hit 1 to program it. I turned it off, but I tried to turn it on later, and it wouldn't turn on. I let it charge over night, but still I was anble to turn it on. I'm thinking whatever programming was done killed the phone. When i went to the store, they put a new battery and it still wouldn't turn on. So they gave me a new phone.
