Commonly for Plasma tv's if the screen went out,,the problem will be the CATHODE RAY TUBE,it is costly to buy.if you want you can buy it,,or it may be the D-board problem will be also,,, but it is unusual,so check the tube.
This is almost certainly the device that sends electricity to the the plasma in the panel after failing. Bring to your local repair shop and expect to pay 300-400 parts and 100-200 labour.
Most likely what happened is one of the capacitors went bad. When a capacitors goes bad it produces a popping sound. This could be an easy and cheap fix if you find the bad capacitor or capacitors. The bad capacitor will have a bulging top most likely on the power board but could be anywhere.
If you can see a faint picture with streaking you most likley have a defective Zsus module

This could be the main drive board failed, or the plasma display backplane has a defect. These types of repairs are generaly fairly expensive.
I would be considering to get an estimate just in case it is simple fault. But, if the repair will cost more than a few hundred dollars, I would strongly suggest a new set. Also, servicing an older set is a gamble in case something else will soon fail.
what type of TV is it?
It might just need a Firmware update.
You can do this yourself with a USB stick and a PC
