Re: vertical lines on copies received
Run a copy of something through your machine. IF the lines show up on your copy, and also lines on your incoming faxes, then your drum cartridge is bad. Replace the drum cartridge with a new one and you should be back in business.

When using the ADF, the scanner doesn't move. The long rectangular platen glass on the left side of the machine is used, not the large glass. I believe that if you clean the long, thin piece of glass on the left side of the platen, your lines will disappear.
Horizontal or vertical? Or do you mean lines of text? Did you try to copy a document? If the copy is fine, then the fault is on the sending side, or there are severe transmission errors. If the copy exhibits the same faults as the received faxes, then something is wrong with the printing part of your fax, and solving the problem will depend on the printing technology used (inkjet - clogged heads, need cleaning, or empty ink, needs replacing etc.)
You have to clean the scanner.Open the dock feeder area, and make sure the scanner glass is clean sometimes the glass look clean but just a smaal dot on the glass can cause a line.Clean also the white area above the scanner. The white area above the scanner help for shading operation of the mchine.Make sure you clean with a sullotion that can remove ink but not damage plastic.
needs a new toner cartridge probably but the fuser rollers may be damaged as well usually if the lines are indented into the paper that means its the fuser roller if they just appear strait down the page then its the toner cartridge
Not sure what you mean as barrel, Is the line present when receiving fax's/printing reports or just when doing a copy? Does it only do it when using doc feeder, if it is only 6months old then is under warranty
