Cd's will go in and eject but no music will play looks like "TR" appears when cd is in player; after 10-20 seconds the cd is ejected. I did try the unplug car battery trick I have read about but that did not help. car is out of warranty so any help would be appreciated. thanks, donna

Have a look for a small hole in the front of the CD player - this is the emergency eject button. Find a paper clip, unwind it and then press the paper clip through the hole - the CD should then eject the first CD and you will then be able to eject the others.
hi i recently bought a lexus ls400 and it the trunk it has a ten disc cd changer by the steering wheel in the car is this little black box that keeps reading E-99 evertime i press play on this odd little box that is the control device to make the cd's play i've put the cd 's in the changer upside down right side up testing it and still the little black cd player play button/disc change button keeps saying E-99 my question is, is it a fuse or is this cd player thing near the stearing wheel just a peiece of garbage please contact me at email@example.com if you have any idea why this is doing this because i can't play any cd's theres no cd player where the cd/tape decks usually are in cars in the middle above the column shift. it would mean the world to me if you could help me out with any information as to why this brand new sony ten disc cd changer is giving issues to the cd player thing next to the stearing wheel on the right it's kind of hidden but it just won't stop saying e-99 no matter how brand new a cd i put in the changer thank you your friend john bunce
It might be a Bose system. I usually remove stuck CD's by grasping the edge with a pair of tweezers and pulling slowly, there will be some resistance. Try to reset first by removing the fuse for about 30 seconds and after it powers up again (don't turn it on yet) push the eject button.
I realize this post is a little old , but for anyone looking for a solution try disconnecting your negative battery terminal for a minute or so then reconnect. Next try to eject your cd. Worked for me ^^ 2001 taurus
