Corrupted data - FRUSTRATING

Hi guys --

I hope you can help me out, I have purchased two new ps2 games in the past two weeks and both have been unable to save on my memory card. Whenever I try to save these new games it fails, this is really frustrating! =) I check my memory card and each time it has a 2 kb corrupted data on it. My card has over 2,000 kb free, so what's the problem? Also, I notice a memory card shaped icon in the browser that says "system information" - I don't remember this before and I am wondering if it's okay to delete it. I hope you can help me out! Thanks, Jenna

That area on the card is for system info ie. networking, preferences. You are okay to delete that. It will re-create data everytime you change your preferences.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Ps2 unable to read new games

Okay, If your using the original PS2 console, then your problem is the age of the console. It actually can't play some of the games that were released after the PS2 slim was released. If this is the case, there's not much you can do but try to find a PS2 slim or get a PS3 with the ability to play PS2 games :(

I have a corrupt memory card for PS2 and I'm unable to format it

Well I checked once the Memory Card gets corrupted for many reasons like virus etc there is no way to fix it. You have to purchase a new one.

Memory Card Corrupted

you cannot save another file until you delete previous one.Corruption occurs if the memory card is removed from console or if you reset the game while saving or loading game remember this also happens when you are saving or loading game and electricity turns off.

I have corrupted data in my ps2 memory card &i cannot delete it?

Buy a new memory card.

Yours has developed a glitch or virus and corrupted itself and is not fixable.

Memory Card Corrupted

These cards have become so cheap it would be better just to buy a new one and use that as backup for the non corrupt data.

Corrupted Data on PS2 memory card

I don't know if you have been trying to delete the data with a game inside the ps2, but in case you have, try this.

Turn on the system WITHOUT a game inside, select BROWSER, the MEMORY CARD ICON, and i believe the corrupted data icon is a grayish black square. Choose options and then delete.
I am also heard that inserting a music cd will work as well, probably just has to not be a game inside the ps2.

Corrupted data comes from turning off the ps2, or removing the memory card while the game loads or saves data to/from memory card.
I really hope that helps, ps2's are meant to be played! Good luck.

Ps2 won't read ps1 memory card

PS2's don't read PS1 memory cards outside of the browser screen. It can only be used as access memory. Hope this helped. As for the slots it might be only fixable by a mechanic.
