The freezer is working but the regular fridge is not staying cold. The indicator is moved to "coldest" and it still does not work. I've tried defrosting twice but the same problem exists. Also, the ice dispenser is not dispensing ice. This all started at once. Anything I can do to solve this problem? Thanks for all your help in advance.
My prob. is a Kenmore side by side. The freezer is fine. The refrigerator is @ 60 degrees and I cannot get it regulated. It is a no-defrost model and I've cleaned the condenser coils. Any ideas? It is part of the family and we've had it for 24 years!

Re: Fridge does not get cold
Sounds like the internal fan is not working ,and on the same circuit as the dispenser. I assume the tray is full of ice but not dispensing. you likely have a failure at the circuit junction splitter board. its just a board with a bunch of wires connected , usually in the rear .

is the fan on in the freezer?? if not then you need a new evap fan..also check to see if there is frost build up on the back panel in the freezer section if so then you have a defrost issue could be a bad heater..to bandaid the problem..defrost the freezer back panel so air can flow into fridge side, but you will need to address the problem within a week or it will build up again
setting the freezer at 7 opens the baffle from the freezer to the fridge to make the fridge colder. It works completely opposite than a person would think. Feel in the back of the fridge with it on this setting. The freezer is dumping all its cold air into the fridge thus equalizing the two parts. if you move the selector to 1, you should feel the air from the freezer cut off in the fresh food compartment. try a setting in the middle and let sit for 24 hours. Hope this helps
Cleaned the condenser coils which were dusty but not severely so. Checked the evaporator coils which were NOT iced. Reset the fridge to coldest setting and freezer to #5 (mid range of temperature) and waited a full 36 hours. Fridge temp is 40 F and freezer is about 0F. Not sure what is different except coldest setting on fridge. Warm weather is here but not warm enough to require AC. Temps in late afternoon in house about 77-80F. Any thoughts are appreciated because I suspect this problem is not completely resolved.

Check Recirclating Vents in refrigerator... to make sure theres no blockage,
CONTROLS ...should be in the middle setting,
