Question about Bissell 1697-7 Powersteamer Pro Deluxe Vacuum
Take the water and solution tank out of the machine. turn it over an on the left hand side you will see a red clip with a screw in it. take out that screw. flip the unit back over and take off the belt access cover by sticking a straight screw driver down into the slots and popping the clips to release the cover. tilt the machine to the side and using your finger wiggle the red plastic piece down out of the way. the beater bar on that side should be free. make sure both belts are in good shape because the belts run the beater bar and the second belt runs the water pump.
