in bitpim go to edit->settings and make sure v3m is selected and click browse beside com port. select the port that says moto usb modem and click ok. if you use the phone wizard and select this then hit detect it may fail. dont worry about that. then click ok and on the view menu make sure view filesystem is selected. on the left click filesystem, then click the plus beside the folder and it will read the filesystem. find your music folders and you should be good. I know verizon locks down their ui so you may wanna look through modmymoto.com for guides and different software or hacktherazr.com. They both have a lot on the v3m.
HI, I BOUGTH A DATA CABLE FOR MOTOROLA RAZR V3M OVER EBAY BUT THE DRIVER/UTILITY CD WAS NOT INCLUDED, NOW I'M TRYING TO DOWNLOAD SOME STUFF INTO MY RAZR AND PC WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT. download a program called motorola drive installer. connect your phone threw a usb cable then start the program. let it clean itself automaitacly then choose update drivers then clean and repair. all of this is done with your phone connected to your pc it should work with alltel if not email me at email@example.com
Right ya need to get Motorola's software and "Drivers" to make your phone work.. You need Motorola Phone Tools find it on the sites below.. download the software install and THEN plug in your USB cable attached to your phone.. then you will be able to manipulate your files etc... NB: You may have to select you USB "Port" B4 continuing make sure ya read your instructions carefully.
Basically... Install Motorola Phone Tools.. Plug in your phone .... ya all good :)
