No sound? Turned on TV today and no audio. - Samsung LN-T4665F 46 in. LCD Television

First, you need to identify which box the problem is in. Does the TV work with other inputs? If not, problem in TV. If it does, then the problem is in the Yamaha.
Once you know where the problem is, you can proceed to fixing what's broken.

Check its speaker. If it is found OK, the audio output section circuit inside have the fault.

Sound issues and answersa short list:

sound on set or a box muted or turned down?

speakers inside the set (see menu) switchedon or off?

Clearly it could be a audio problem (a model number?) but explore all here thatyou have not already done--make sure theremote set to TV and look for a button on it marked MTS and if there cycle it.

You can also determine if same trouble when you play a DVD.

You might need to have the Audio Output IC replaced.Audio IC and capacitors.

this will require you opening the back cover of the television to check if the wire used to connect the speakers are not having partial contact and do check for dry soldering on the audio section of the printed circuit board.

Sounds like the speakers have died, it's muted at the source (cable box / satellite box if you have one) or that the cable for audio is loose. Check those three things starting with the last one and you will be able to pin point it.

have a tecch check your tv there is an ic in the sound circuit that needs to be replaced good luck

first you want to make sure and check if the problem is common for other inputs as well (dvd ,player antenna A or B)
or if you have a cable or satellite box sometimes you may have problem with those too( reset them by uplugged them too)
if evething ok check tv menu and see in audio secction if speakers are not turne off.if still you have a problem the audio amp inside the set its having a problem.

Try adjusting cables connecting dvd to tv. If this doesn't work try a different cable.
