MM50 Speakers-- volume refuses to work

I have lost the manual for these speakers (hopefully not forever!), and am baffled now by what I think must be a very simple problem (though after extensive googling I couldn't find anywhere that answered the question).

The problem is as follows; when I use either the volume controls on the speakers themselves or on the remote to try to turn up the volume from zero, it shows on the volume bar that it is trying to rise, but immediately after returns to an empty volume bar, no matter how many times I press it. I'm sure the solution is a very simple one, but not having the manual and not being the least bit tekky myself I'm totally baffled and frustrated. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I'm the exact same. Sometimes the volume will kick in and if I leave it alone it is fine but if I touch the volume at all it immeadiately resets to quiet. Any solutions please...anyone?

On the Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod, the + volume button plastic cover has fallen off. Can I fix it myself?

Glue will not usually work---use something not sharp like a plastic wand to activate the micro switch---as far as the buttons they are usually a one piece part that is either melted in place or screwed--may be a little hard to locate.

My mm50 speakers just stopped working

The power supply adapter is most likely the culprit. You can find a 12V Logitech mm50 replacement here: https://www.digidave.co.uk/jshop/product.php?xProd=4762

if no light came from the speakers then something is corrupted inside them .. you have to check the power source and power cable of the speakers first ... if everything is fine then the speakers are corrupted from inside

Hi, there is no way to fix that, if the problem is from the control on the speakers, that is a problem inside the conector that fix the volume, have to open carefully, and clean all contactc, that should fix that, but do it carefully.
