I logged in yesterday with my problem which was an erratic misprint. I paid 10 dollars for a solution but have not had a satisfactory response. I received a reply from one of your 'gurus' but this was not satisafactory.

Thanks for your contribution to this problem. With respect, it is not an ink blockage which was causing it.
I have in fact reached a solution and supposedly posted it on this site. However, I repeat it here for any other person who has this very irritating difficulty. I have exchanged the USB cable for a Firewire cable and have cured the problem! It has been a 'communication' issue all along and this has sorted it out.

WizEpson Head clean using approved cleaner or "Windex with ammonia"
Step 1. Press the “Change Ink” button on your printer.
Step 2. You can now move the cartridge housing freely.
Step 3. Move the cartridge housing to the left and out of the way.
Now, inject a little solution onto the cap assembly.
Step 4. Place a folded paper towel on the bottom of the printer.
Step 5. Move the cartridge housing over the paper towel and remove the
cartridges.
Step 6. Slowly inject the head cleaning solution into the ink inlet ports as
shown.
Step 7. Remove the paper towel and insert your cartridges back into the
printer. Lastly, all you have to do is run a print head cleaning cycle to prime the cartridges.
