Question about Garmin nuvi 350 GPS Receiver

Installing Garmin 350

From what I see in the owners manual the cradle snaps onto the suction cup arm. However there appears to be a part that comes out of the cradle so that the suction cup arm can fit into the opening, but I can't figure out how to remove that part.....HELP!!

It should be a round hole with three little notches, just stick it in and push (flat surface required!) Then there is a lever on the suction cup to **** it against the windo, just snap close that when you're sticking the hip joint into the socket!

I can't figure out how the two pieces of the window mount fit together. Do you have an illustration of how it assembles?

Hello,

The arm of the Garmin G-Ball Suction Mount snaps into the back of the cradle.
You can see a picture of it here.

I just bought a nuvi 1450. I also purchased a friction mount for the dash. It says to snap the cradle into the arm. It doesn't go easily and I'm afraid that I'll break it. Any suggestions?

The 2 wide bumps(not sure the technical name) of the cradle go on the bottom first then the two close bumps that have a lip go to the top of the 1450. Also the hole where the suction cup mount snaps into the cradle is closer to the bottom of the unit.
I have the same gps and the cradle is slightly different than the picture in the manual. I have attached a link to the manual and you can see the picture and diagram on page 2.
Thanks for using FixYa

Craftsman radial arm saw will not cut straight. Even when I line up the blade with a square and try to cut a piece of wood with a straight line it cuts at an angle or a bevel instead of straight. Any...

All of the adjustment locks should be tight. Check the arm and saw motor cradle for looseness by trying to push/pull the blade, cradle, and arm in various directions. A bevel cut indicates that the motor/cradle is tilting. An angle cut is controlled by the rotation of the arm. Check for looseness of the cradle bearings that allow the cradle/motor to roll along the arm. If you don't have the owner's manual for this saw, go to: www.searspartsdirect.com and enter the complete model number minus the decimal point--this will take you to a series of drawings that detail every replaceable component of the saw. The owners manual should be available there. There is a rather involved series of adjustments involved to make this saw work correctly. Hope this helps!

How do I attach my garmin to my dash mount?

The Garmin Nuvi 255w comes with a three piece dash mounting kit. A round disk smooth on one side tape on the other to affix to the dash (most dashes ar textured and the suction cup will not hold to textures) a suction cup arm with a ball end, and a bracket with a receiver for the ball. Snap the bracket and arm together, this can take a little effort. mount the disk to your dash in a place that doesn't obstruct your view of the road. then place the arm/bracket on the disk and push the lever down creating suction to hold the mount to the dash.
Another option it the beanbag dash mounts that hold the arm without sticking to your dash.

Installing windshield mount

there are two pieces to the mount, the mount and the cradle..the cradle snaps on the gps and the mount slides in the groves on the back of the cradle.

to attach it to the window, lift the lever near the suction cup on the bottom of the mount..press firmly against the window, the push lever down toward the windshield to lock it.

you should remove it and reattach it every few weeks to prevent it from falling off the window and damaging the unit.

Garmin nuvi 360 suction cup knob issue

If the end of the cradle has a ball, and the cup has
a round part, just push the ball in, yes it does go in hard but should be ok. If it makes you feel more
comfortable, you can put a drop of water on ball and wipe it around, once it dries, it wont slop around.

Windshield Mounting Unmounting

first the round plate... that has a sticky circle on the bottom.... you remove the tape and stick it on a surface where you want the gps... then when you want to mount the gps you suction cup it to that disk. now for the suction cup... when it is disengaged the plastic suction cup will be loose. to attach it to the plate or window... you swing the small arm on the base of it up or down... you will see as it will lock the suction... the gps should clip onto the holder so you can leave the holder where it is and remove the gps and slip it into your pocket.

Not the best instructions but you will get the idea

How to snap the ball in the window mount on garmin 350 gps

It takes quite a bit of effort to get the ball into the socket on the cradle in the first instance. On pg 57 of the Owner's Manual it describes and has a picture of Removing The Cradle from the Mount by turning it to one side and states "To replace the cradle, snap the cradle on the ball socket." It seems to be easier if you also turn to cradle to one side to snap the ball in - at least such is the case with mine.
