you need to have the internal antenna checked....or go into the network settings and change the band from auto to manual and have it do a manual search.

I have the same problem, displays shows no service and occasionally says invalid battery. Done all the usual things i.e. tried different sim card, different battery. I bought the phone on ebay from Hong Kong. At the moment it is a very good ornament! Help please.
