57H82 Menu does not display

Hey all,

First off, I love this website, you guys are typically great with questions! I have a Toshiba 57H82 projection TV that recently had convergence problems. I took it apart and soldered in new STK392 chips. Now the picture on the TV is great, but all the on-screen commands will not show up. For example, I can change volume and channel, but I do not see the indicator on the screen for either (the tv menu is the same way, you can press the button on the TV and then play with the remote and stuff will change, but i can't see what i'm changing). Any ideas? I took it back apart and did a quick scan, to the best of my knowledge everything is plugged back in...

I have the same problem.

My best guess is you missed a connection on the mico IC cotrolling the OSD (On screebn display)... Scour the inside, I mean pack a luch and literally look it over real good... If you find nothing take a break and start again... My money would be on that!
