Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Yep, that's problem. The manual and the Canon Tech Support website say this code does not exist. Although if it were a valid code it would fall into a series of codes that indicate tampering with the architecture of the the device. Certain ciruit boards are "married " to a series of machines "2200, 3300, 3300i etc" and when mixed and matched can cause conflicts. Serial numbers are compared, engine speeds. This is in an effort to make sure a copier with 2 million copies can't have its "odemeter " rolled back. Or to make a 22 copy per minute machine run at 33 copies per minute simply by changing cicuit boards. Again this is speculation as the code you indicate does not have an explanation or description. That is truly a more accurate statement as there are certain error codes that exist that only R&D and service engineering use that typically would not occur in the field. Therefore the explanation of the code is considered unecessary.
