How to get rid of ads on my screen when I go to my in box in Yayoo mail

You can either temporarily hide the ads that keep popping up on your Yahoo Mail page or block them permanently. To know how, refer to the steps below.

To temporarily hide ads (for free email accounts):
1)Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account
2)When, while viewing your list of emails or a particular email, an ad pops up, you can see a right-facing arrow between your email and the advertisement. Click on this arrow.
3)The ad will get hidden temporarily.
(Important: This blocks the ads temporarily only and as soon as you perform the actions like refreshing the Yahoo Mail page, marking a particular email as spam, replying to an email, or just clicking on any of the sections in the navigation-menu located on the left of the page, a new ad may pop up again).

To permanently remove graphical and text ads:
Yahoo Mail has recently come up with "Yahoo Ad Free Mail" service to enable you to get rid of graphical and text ads on a permanent basis when viewing your Yahoo Mail account from a computer. You need to sign up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account before starting using this service.
(Note: Before signing up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account, please check if the service is available in your region. Also, even after subscribing to the service, the subscribers may still get the text ads that come up on Yahoo Mail on a mobile web browser and the text ads that come up in the "Basic Mail" interface of Yahoo Mail on a computer. To know what Basic Mail is, refer to the following Yahoo webpage: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/basic-mail-sln5171.html)

Can,t opem my e-mail page

Which email account ?
If you currently have an e-mail address or you're thinking about getting one, you need to know how to access your account to check your messages.

Open a new browser and go to your e-mail provider's website.
To ensure that you navigate to the proper site, type your e-mail provider's URL (or website address) into the address bar at the top of the page.

Locate the "Mail" icon on the homepage.
Click on that mail icon and you will be directed to the appropriate sign-in page to access your e-mail inbox.

Provide your correct login details.
You will need to type your username/ID and password into the appropriate boxes and click the button that says "Sign In."

Click on the link that says "Inbox."
Once you click on the inbox link, you will have access to all of your messages, both old and new e-mails.

The unread mail is usually in bold, which makes it easier to identify your new messages.
Simply click on the subject of that e-mail to read your message.

Ive just bought a brand new dell lap top i connected it to my fathers sky broadband its connected but browser wont open?

By browser not opening, are you saying that you click on it and nothing happens? If it is saying cannot connect, then it is a network issue and not necessarily a browser issue. Under the Help and Support section of your computer you should find a network troubleshooter guide

Loseing emails without deleting them my main pc keeps them till i use my lap top then they all go

Sounds like you need to check your e mail preferences on the laptop, from what you are describing it looks like the laptop checks your e mail, sees that the messages have been downloaded or downloads the messages to the hard drive then tells the server to delete the messages. When you log back in on the desktop the desktop checks for new messages, see that certain messages have been deleted from the server then syncs the email to the server, which wipes out all the messages on the desktop. Hope this helps

Email

Ports make no difference, but the fact that you are accessing the email account from 2 different systems is likely the issue. If you are reading the email in outlook or outlook express on both systems, the mail is being downloaded from the server to each system and deleted from the server.

Two ways to resolve this.

1. Check email at work via webmail interface so that the items are not downloaded from the server.

OR

2. Set the email client settings to retain mail on the server.

example:

Personally, I use option #1.

When I check my charter account on my desktop, I use outlook. From my laptops, I use www.charter.net to check that account.

Are you sure that the text color in the email matches the background? You should also check the options for the email browser you are using. I hope this helps your computer problem.
