Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C811DN Laser Printer

Error Code SC580 on Ricoh Aficio SP C811DN

While printer on glossy, a paper jam developed in the unit. After removing the jam, an error code SC580 displayed. The problem has persisted. There is no Ricoh technician available in Liberia and I do not have a technical manual.

Please assist.

First try switching off and on the printer to reset the error.
If still there the error check the following;

  1. Check CN983, it may be disconnected on the IH inverter.
  2. Defective IH inverter - replace IH inverter.
  3. Defective IH coil unit - replace IH coil unit.
It is a bit complicated to repair these parts.
Better to contact an engineer.

Sc 580 is an open thermostat on the ih coil.these 2 thermostats(very small)normally open when u try to clean that section in most cases after a paper jam,test the thermostats for continuity tap the open thermostat on your screw driver it resets and u done . #chimdala

как правило проблема заключается в мембране самого датчика решить можно 2мя сособами: 1. замена IH coil unit 2. выгнуть мембрану в ее нормальное положение, для этого надо кусачками аккуратно надрезать боковую стенку так чтобы можно было добраться под мембрану , далее изогнутой иголочкой подтолкнуть мембрану так чтобы она выпуклась. далее включить аппарат.

Wat is an LSU error on a phaser 3200 MFP


Change the toner cartridge , i have many units phaser3200 and this is one of the problem , but only if the toner cartridge is very old and many time refilled , if not , change the Laser unit .

  1. Remove a misfed document if the copier displays a message reading "Document Jam." Lift up the document feeder cover and turn the roller to remove an Exit Misfed document. Lower the document feeder back into place and feed the document through again. If the document is jammed on the Input side, open the cover and gently pull the misfed document to the right and out of the feeder.
  2. Pull out the paper tray and lift the tray to release it from the copier if the copier displays a message reading "Paper Jam O." Remove the jammed document, and open and close the side panel of the copier to clear the error message.
  3. Unplug the power cord and plug it back in again if the copier displays a message reading "Fuser Error, Open Heat Error, Heating Error and Overheat." If the problem persists, call for a service.
  4. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it from side to side if the copier displays a message reading "No Developer Cartridge." If this does not do the trick, you may need to replace the cartridge. Pull the release latch to open the side cover, and open the front cover. Twist the cartridge locking-lever upwards and remove the toner cartridge. Insert the new cartridge and lock the lever into place. Shut the front cover and the side cover.
  5. Power off the unit and power it on again if the copier displays a message reading "LSU Error." A problem has occurred with the Laser Scanning Unit. If the problem persists, call for a service.

If message in display panel reads [13.XX PAPER JAM [LOCATION]]Media is jammed at the specified location (and possibly at other locations). If the message persists after all jams have been cleared, a sensor or sensor lever might be stuck or broken.
Soln.
For all jam messages, do the following: 1. Remove jammed print media from the specified location. Check the entire paper path for other pieces of media in the path. 2. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 3. Check sensors and flags in the paper path for proper operation.

For message 3.0 PAPER JAM [LOCATION]
means
A non-specific paper jam occurred.

1. Remove jammed media from the specified location. 2. Verify the paper tray is fully closed. 3. Inspect and/or replace the feed and separation rollers. 4. Ensure there is no obstruction in the path, such as a torn piece of paper. 5. Open and close the top cover to clear the message. 6. Check sensors and flags for proper operation.

I have an error code 5100. It started grabbing the paper wrong and a piece got jammed. I removed it and then it says error 5100. I have turned it off and on a few times and it is still there.

It is saying paper james in the printer, open the scanner unit and remove paper, however there is no paper, have turned off the machine and still comes up with the same problem

Paper Jam


1. First, clean your printer. Get some spray-n-wipe cleaner and a clean cloth and clean the entire inside of the printer. Also ensure your paper isn't dirty. Now print a test page. Does the symptom persist?
2. Remove all jammed paper. Check the paper tray first. Look closely at the paper rollers nearest where the paper exits the printer; this is a common source of jams. If you’re trying to print labels, they will often jam just before exiting the printer.
3. Try to print a test page. Does the printer still jam? If you can find no source of the jamming, check the printer's message display window and refer to your user’s manual to look up the printer error code.
