Pyle powered speaker (PPHP123MU) How do you replace the fuse. System completely shut off in middle of use. No power at all. Thanks for any help.

Amp or head unit ? Amp power lead fuse should be located in a holder close to the car battery ,the amp itself will have a fuse as well should be near the terminals where the power and speaker leads are located on the unit , head unit will have a fuse on the wiring harness and a fuse from the main power supply fuse panel in the car.

I have this model of Head units. I have used crimp connects to connect the unit harness to the car harness. Hooked up my turn on wires and rca cables. Now my head unit when turned on shorts in and out and...

For starters, I want to make sure. You did purchase a wiring harness that "plugs" into your vehicle, right? If not and you are attempting to hardwire to your vehicle, STOP! You run the risk of frying your entire electrical system. If you purchased a harness you can crip the wires from your head unit to the harness and the harness plugs in. DO NOT crip wires directly. You are experiencing just a little of what can happen. However, if you did purchase the correct harness, you need to check all our crimps again. Hope this helps.

If you haven't cut the wiring harness, you can buy one that will plug into the vehicle and attach to the harness of the readio. Go to the link below to see it.

You shouldn't have to buy y connectors. The sub output on the back of the sony head unit is for bass output that goes to an amplifier & then to a sub. The RCA's on the harness will be just for Stereo sound ( left & right ).

Have just purchased a cde-100 for an mx3. Does the "mounting sleeve" come with the unit? If so, is it attached to the unit as shipped? I am studying the installation instructions. Are there more explicit...

mounting sleeve is on the radio when you buy it in most of my experiences.

reinforcing the HEAD UNIT-(the cd player itself) with metal straps means that the DIN(the hole the radio goes into in your dash, either single or double) dash piece is probably made of a softer material, and you should mount a small metal strap, usually does not come with the unit, to the units mounting sleeve, and then mount it to the inside of the dashboard of the car with some screws or bolts. this will keep the cd player from moving around, bouncing, etc while you drive over bumps and such.

you could probably get some metal mounting straps either from the box the radio comes in (very few come with them) or get a dash install kit from an auto parts store or a walmart for your car that will probably include all of the things you need including the dash piece, any mounting hardware, and metal straps the factory recommends or deems necessary, and even a wiring harness adapter.

How do i match the color code for my radio in my 1996 toyota avalon

You should buy a wiring harness for your vehicle. That would solve your problem because Replacement head units all have the same color coding you should always buy a wiring harness when replacing any head unit for a proper install.

Metra makes wire harnesses for your problem. If your wire harness is, 70-5555 the part that goes into the OEM radio will be 71-5555
Try www.metraonline.com and put in the car info. The harness will come with wire codes for splicing the new plug.

I lost the plastic frame that goes on the car stereo head unit of my deh-30mp. don't think pioneer usa will deliver to me here in Ireland. Where can i get one.

try looking around at some car parts places. if they sell car audio equipment (speakers, wiring harnesses, etc...) they should have the face plate or something that would act as one. usually theres a kit with a mounting bracket and a face cover plate for around the head unit after its installed. just find one to fit your car.

the cardboard idea would work too, but id just buy the replacement part if i could find it.

I need to install a max385vd in a 2002 pord f-350, do i need an install kit?

Regardless of whether this is an amp or a head unit, an install kit is either very helpful or necessary. If it's an amp, you'll need it for sure - you can't power an amp with 18 gauge factory power wiring like a head unit can use. You need to get at least 10 gauge power and ground wire, 18 gauge remote turn-on wire, and RCA patch cables to conduct the sound. If you have a factory head unit, you'll also need a line-level adapter to give you a source for the RCA patch cables.

If this is a head unit, you'll need the adapter harness to plug your existing stereo harnesses into the new head unit. It makes it simple - the wires on the new head unit are color-coded for what they do, and the adapter harness is identically coded. Match the colors, then plug it in. You may also need an antenna wire adapter (some cars require this).
