Hi,

Have you tried clearing the cache?

  • Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
  • Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
  • Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

  • Note: Game saves, user profiles, demos, videos, music will not deleted during the process - But all game/console updates and error logs will be deleted.

    Cheers

Every time I put a new game it's unreadable and doesn't work, but when I put a old xbox 360 games they work fine , for example my Red Dead redemption, which I have had for almost a year works fine , but...

well, the only thing that i can think of is that your old games work because you may have backeed them up to your HDD. For whatever reason, it is not reading any of the discs, but you can play the old games because the machine knows the correct disc is in the drive, and plays it straight form the hard drive. Note that this answer is based on the assumption you back your games up; you may need a new DVD drive.

I put in my new game and it goes to the menu but when I go into the game it comes up with "disc unread, refer to wii operations manual." It only does it with this game, whats wrong?

The most common reason for the Wii not reading discs is a bad drive. The following website sells the drives and does installs:

    store.richspsxparts.com/wiiredvddr

This drive should fix any reading issues you are having with your games, or issues inserting your games or ejecting them (or lack thereof). This is the entire DVD drive assembly mechanism replacement for your Wii including a new laser. If your discs are not ejecting, or you cannot insert a disc -- or you can insert a disc but it will not load, this is what you need to get your Wii going again!

One of my new Xbox games is unreadable. What should I do?

I ahd this problem with COD: MW2 i put the disk in and it came up saying can't read this. So i left it in and thinking nothing of it turned the xbox off went back to it a couple minutes later and it started no problem.

So put the disk in turn the xbox off and back on then it should load the game fine.

Reads games as DVDS But when read as a game

Quite possibly the laser is becoming weaker, which causes read issues. First thing to try is simply putting a cleaner disc in and running it a few times.

Disk unreadable for Madden 10 everything i go online to play in the middle of the game it will come up and the game is brand new no scratches

if the xbox can read other games perfectly fine i would say that it might be a defect with you copy of the game. if other games have the same problem it means that the lens on your xbox is dirty or scratched. if dirty you could use a lens cleaner, but if its scratched you would need a new DVD drive put into the xbox which would have to be done through microsoft

    Dise unreadable

Most likely you will have to buy a new or used game because the xbox reads everything off the disc and if its scratch you will not be able to play the certain places that doesnt work or not play at all

Madden 08 is unreadable with my hard drive connected

Hmm.... I encountered this once. Check the disc and check for scratches. Then, use a dry soft cloth (must not be wet at all) and rub it around the disc but don't rub the center of the disc. If this doesn't work swap the game. I mean give the Madden with the problem to EB Games or Gamestop and swap it for a brand new one. It should work fine.

    Won't read disc's

theres a known problem with the hitashi dvd drive in the xbox 360.
the only solution to this is a home repair job, look up on youtube on how to do this, although this isnt recommended as it voids warranty.
so the best way is definitely just to ring microsoft and send ur console in for repair.
