Open iPhoto Hi-light the photo or photos you want to send. Select the drop down menu 'share' Select email You will be asked to select the size that you want to send, the larger the size the longer it will take to send. Once you have selected the size then select compose and Mail will open with the photo(s) attached. You can now add any text that you want and then send your email

How do I overcome -50 error code working in iPhoto

Hi Buck,
Sorry for taking so long to get an answer to you..
I'm sure you have figured it our by now...
Error -50 is a nasty error..
(opwrerr file already open with write permission)
You would probably have had to open the iPhoto daabase and take out all your original files .. delete your iPhoto Database then re-import them all into a new iPhoto Database... then rebuild all your events and albums...

You should of course try to repair permissions and update all your system and apps first...

My email from AOL is not coming up on my iMac

Have you recently changed your password? Make sure that you have all the information set up correctly on your Mail application. If it still doesn't work, remove the account, shut down, then re-add it.

How to reduce picture file size on my Mac

Where are the photos?
If they are in iPhoto, select the one you want and email it to yourself. iPhoto will then ask you what size you want to send the pictuire.Once you have received the image you can then upload it in its new size.
Seems inelegant but it works.

When I connect the camera the pics don't load

Does the camera show up on your desktop when you connect it? If so, just launch iPhoto. Inside iPhoto preferences, check the one that causes iPhoto to launch whenever you attach a camera, and you won't run into this behavior in the future. If the camera does not show up on your desktop, or in System Profile's USB column, then you have a bad USB cable or a bad USB port either on the camera or on your Mac.

I am downloading photos from photo library on to CD's. Some keep coming onto next CD's repeatedly, eg, Birthdays. When I go check CD's I've completed, some are gone?

I am not sure if you are using iphoto to do your downloading but if you are not it is the best way to burn CDs. What to do is within iphoto create an album with your required photos then select the album and then go to the share menu and then burn and follow the instructions. Hope this helps.

Try quitting your AOL application, and also try turning your computer off for awhile. Maybe AOL will reconfigure itself. Or call the AOL helpline-800-827-6364

Applications

Good news and bad news . . .You will probably have to reinstall the OS - that is, unless you have backed up your files on Time Machine or some other back up program. Then all you have to do is ask the back up program to reinstall the missing files.
But if you haven't backed up, you will lose your Mail accounts and email, but not your photos, as far as I know. But at least you can rebuild your accounts.
You will find your iPhoto library in the Applications folder. You can find your photos If you have a .Mac (Mobile Me) account, however, you will find your .Mac mail online.
