Good morning, afternoon, evening or night, whatever time you are viewing this. You are having trouble downloading videos onto your MP3 Player? Well there is a reason for and you probably won't like this... There is no way you can play videos on this MP3 Player. Sansa Clip doesn't support video files, only music files and audio podcasts. Sorry about this, but FixYa encourages you to come visit the website again soon. Again sorry, but I hope you have a good day, evening or night, whatever time you are viewing this solution post.
I also just bought a sansa view of amazon. its a refurbed 8gb. it was working fine and for some reason after i turned it off and tried to turn it back on, it wouldnt, not even when i plugged it into my computer. all i did was hold the side button (hold/power) up and at the same time pressed and held the home and "select"(middle button) and it turned on! i hope this helps!
If it's brand new and you bought it at a store, exchange it. If it's an online store and not refurbished you should probably call Sansa as it will be in warranty. If it's refurbished (has a silver capital R sticker on the back) or was an auction item then you can either call Sansa (although they aren't much help with refurbs). If you aren't afraid of working with small objects, are reasonably intelligent, and own a screwdriver, then you may want to clean the contacts (I don't know if this will void an existing warranty or not).
Instructions are at: http://joustin.com/?page_id=10
Note, he uses rubbing alcohol but a less messy method is to use the eraser from a standard #2 pencil (pink eraser) to do the cleaning.
(Alternately you can use any contact cleaner spray made before 1990 without opening the Sansa...of course the good stuff was banned for manufacture so newer stuff may not work)
I am sorry to hear that..it sounds like your battery is defective..Unfortunately the only way you can get the problem fix is to contact sandisk so they can replace the battery for you...There isnt any shop out there that will be able to replace the battery for you..I hope that helps.
