i have a sprint motorola phone and i cannot get it to find my motorola blue tooth headset device
I have the same problem. All the instructions say that if I hold the button, it will light up purple and STAY ON, but it doesn't stay on. It turns purple and then turns off again. Searching with my phone never finds anything.
I've read "power off and press the button until the light activates and stays on." I THINK that powering off just means folding the boom microphone back on itself, right? Well, in "closed" mode, I hold the button down, and the thing turns purple, and in a few seconds turns off... even if I open the boom once it turns purple. Is it broken? It worked great for about 4 months, then phone would only intermittently find the headset... then eventually not at all.
PHONE is Samsung Blade A900

Here is what will work.
Fold the microphone in the closed position on the headset.
Now hold the button down and open the microphone out while still holding the button down. Assuming that you phone is in the Bluetooth mode searching for a device, you should see your headset listed.
