Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

TDK NX-4CD I cannot get the TDK NX-4CD hi-fi to play songs from my ipod when I plug it into the USB. The manual says the USB port it only supports some ipods but does not specify which ones & I cannot find any further info. I bought the TDK system & Ipod at the same time & the sales assistant assured me that they were compatible. (80GB ipod). Any suggestions?

I have the same problem! the reason I bought it was to play songs off my ipod. My ipod the nano 3rd generation doesnt work neither does my friends which is exactly the same. My sisters however works as hers is an older model. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know

I have a very similar problem - I can't find a flash drive which is actually compatible with the unit. According to the manual, "It can't support some brands of flash disk, USB harddisk and iPod players." But I've bought three different brands of different sizes and still not hit on one which works ...

I've searched the net without any luck just to look for a simple list of compatible flash disks/USB memory sticks - is it really possible that TDK don't have a list of compatible devices from the date of release?

SOURCE: nano skipping song

Hello there! Wow... sounds like you've really been through the proverbial wringer with this issue already! You have indeed tried almost every step I would have suggested already, but here's another thing or two to try: 1) Burn an audio CD of this song. It's a true waste of a CD, but fortunately CDs are quite inexpensive! 2) Eject the CD. 3) In iTunes, find the problem song and add something to the title to make it differentiate it... for instance, if the song was, "Freebird", I would rename it, "Freebird CORRUPT". 4) Re-insert the CD, and now rip this new version of the song into iTunes. 5) Sync up your iPod and see if the issue is resolved. Hope this helps you out! =)

How to add songs in ipod

Assuming that you already have itunes installed and your iPod isn't sync'd with your library:
1. Open up itunes
2. Plug the ipod usb cable into the computer's usb port and plug your ipod in at the other end.
If you don't know which is the usb port on your computer a symbol next to it should look like this:
http://www.dailycupoftech.com/wp-content...
3. Wait for your ipod to show up in itunes
4. Select the songs you want to put on your ipod and drag them over into the "Music" folder on your ipod and wait for it to load.
5. When you are done, make sure you eject your ipod
There's an eject sign next to where it should show "(Your name)'s iPod"

That should be it
Depending on what kind of iPod you have there MIGHT be a different way to do it but I know this way works with the iPod mini, nano, and video.

If your iPod is synced to your library all you really have to do is plug it in and it adds all of the songs in your itunes library to your ipod.

Hope I helped

Can i use a memory stick to playback music through a hi-fi music centre,or portable radio please.

Only if your hi-fi supports such devices or if there is a port to plug it in. Check also the Hi-FI user manual.

I have a foryou car stereo and when I plug in my

does the radio support ipods or does it support memory sticks
i would check but i can not find a manual for your radio
im guessing that the radio does not support ipods it supports songs on memory sticks.

i recomend that you put some songs on a memory stick or through itunes make your ipod enable disk use

and put the songs on the device using my computer and then try and play some songs

USB wires are universal, so No you shuouldn't need another wire.
My friend had a similar problem with his new AUDI 58 plate.
(shares the same "VAG" parts bin as your car)

He found that his new ipod was not compatible, and Audi said they need to upgrade their software. Audi dealer Re-imbursed him the cost of ipod.

check with your Dealer and find out which versions of ipod ARE compatable.
i've noticed quite a few things with Ipod compatibility dont support the iphone. & now there's a new iphone just to make things more difficult.
Good Luck.

I have a jvc kd-g720 stereo in my car and when I plug my iPod into the usb port it says "do not disconnect" and even though i have about 2,000 songs on my iPod the stereo will only play the same 49 ones in...

if you are plugging your ipod into the usb port of the kd-g720 it won't play all your songs because this particular radio only plays mp3s through the usb port. ipods play both mp3s and mp4s. so those 49 songs you're hearing are the mp3s on your ipod. in order to play all the songs on your ipod you must buy the cord that plugs in the back of the radio that will connect to your ipod. sorry for the bad news man. i had the same thing happen to me.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

When you have a high speed device like the ipod plugged into a non high speed usb hub, all that means is that it will take the ipod about twenty times longer to load up under itunes then it will using a high speed port. Try connecting the ipod to a different usb port and see if that one is a high speed port (if it is, it will most likely have 2.0 written beside it, and if it does not have it, when you plug it in, it will tell you if it is a non high speed usb port. The same message should pop up. Try all of the usb ports on your computer. You should have at least 1 high speed port.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

Let the iPod fully charge - sometimes you will get this message if the iPod is running on low power. Try another USB port if it gives you the same message.

If it still doesn't work, try the 5 R's suggested by Apple in the manual - you can get a manual from Apple's website if you have lost yours.
