Hi BethandRoss,
You have a loss of airflow from the dryer. Two things can casue this.
1. You vent going outside is blocked off with lint, bird nest or something.
2. your blower wheel is broken.

for problem 1. pull the dryer out and take the vent off. Start the dryer and feel the amount of airflow coming out. If you have none then go to problem 2. If airflow is good take a look in your vent going outside. Somewhere between that vent and outside you have a blockage. Clear it out or replace it if needed.

for problem 2. I would need your model number to give the exact direction to replace it. Since all dryer come apart abit different, and all dryers have different blowers, I would have to know the brand or model to help you further.
I really hope this will FixYa.
Have a nice night Mike Anderson

E15 error code on hoover tumble dryer

Controls
  • The control unit on the tumble dryer will vary among different makes and models. The main purpose of the controls is to allow the user to select the drying cycle. You can choose the time and temperature setting on most units, while others allow custom settings such as moisture sensors and end-of-cycle alert signals. The controls may include a dial or a touch panel and LED screen display. Some tumble dryers allow you to independently select the appropriate time for the load you are drying and separate programs for temperature.
Motor
  • The motor inside the tumble dryer spins the basket to allow the clothes to tumble while being dried. The tumbling action allows the air to pass through the clothing to dry them faster. Heating laundry that is stagnant will likely dry the clothing on the outside while leaving damp clothing inside the pile. The constant motion, along with the heat and steam created by heating the clothing, reduces wrinkles. The motor also powers the fan that delivers the heated air to the basket of laundry. The heater can be an electrical element or gas powered.

I have a fridgedaire front load dryer (Model AEQ6700FS0) and it will start up, run for about 30 seconds and then it stops tumbling and the 3 lights on the far right (drying, cooldown, extended tumble)...

This is just a guess in a way, as I don't have specific knowledge about your particular model, but could it be a wrinkle prevention feature? I know some dryers have a feature which will cycle the dryer on for an occasional short tumble if the regular cycle ends and the clothes have not been removed. Opening the door might be all it takes to cancel the function.

My GE dryer takes 3-4 times as long as I expect it to to dry my clothes. I've read that it should take about 45 minutes to dry a load but after the first cycle the clothes are still damp. It usually takes...

You have checked a lot already ... thanks for the comlete story. Often the questions here hurt for detail.

Are your clothes getting hot?

Two reasons for not getting dry ...

No heat

No air.

You need warm air (heat and air) going through your drier to achieve dryness.

Sounds like you have no heat. Are you properly setup on the control panel (you selected heat)? You have physically inspected the entire exhaust sustem including the outside vent, hose and lint trap - absolutely clear ...

check the heat my friend

Dryer flame on magtag wont stay lit. Pilot flares up but no flame

Thermocouple is probably bad. The pilot burns and heats a sensor which tells the CPU that the Flame can start, and the thermocouple heating up changes voltage with increase temperature and tells the CPU that the Flame is burning OK. If it is defective, there is no voltage change and the CPU assumes that the Flame didn't start for some reason, (Gas only!) and turns if off for safety. Over and over xx times.
