Hampton bay fans

I have three new hampton bay fans with light kits. They all have remotes. Sensors sit ontop of each fan. The light switch for each fan have the duplex switches. With each fan/light set to separate duplex settings only the fan/light set to the original duplex can be controlled either by the light switch or the remote. With all three on the same duplex setting they can each be controlled by the light switch and the remote. Problem is When you turn the fan/light on in one room all three turn on. How can I get these fan/lights to be independent operations from the remotes and the light switch????

Inside the remote, and inside the transmitter above the fan there are 4 tiny keys that set the frequency. set each frequency different then the remotes will only operate that fan. However if two lights r on and one off, when u turn the switch off they all go off, and when u turn it back on the same ones should come on. Then label the remotes!!!

I have a Hampton bay fan with light and remote. The fan works fine but the light doesn't turn off, there is no pull switch only remote to control the unit. Thank you. AJ

With out actually being there to look at it sounds like the wire for the light at the light kit on the fan or at the fan box in the ceiling.

Can you replace light kit on Hampton Bay ceiling fan, Model-Cessna

Yes..
There are a bout three screws that hold the light part to the fan.
Make note of the wiring before you disconnect it also.
Remove the screws and the wiring will be exposed as the light part drops down...
Check the diameter of the light parts and find a new light kit that will fit it...
The Hampton Bay fans are exclusive to Home Depot, so most any of their light kits will fit, but any kit the right diameter will work..

You must use the switch on the fan itself.

Installing ceiling fan with two switches AND a remote

in your ceiling box should be three wires. a red goes to the three way switches, a black goes to the hot and the white is the neutral. the fan wires are black, blue and white. since you have a remote, connect the [fan] blue & black together with the [line] black. connect all white wires together. the remote will now ramp up your lights from off to full on and the fan remote will let you choose lo med high and off. just tape up the red wire in the box.
