Might be that the USB Port you're plugging the webcam into is USB1.1 and the camera is USB 2????

look at the port on the computer.. is it Black Plastic or White... If Black It is USB 1 if White...USB2...

Might be that causing the freeze up... Hope it helps

There may be an issue with your USB port.
Try unplugging your camera, Restarting the computer, and then plugging the camera into a *different* USB port. The camera should re-enumerate in your system, and that should fix the problem.

The message "power surge on

What is happening here is when the camera is plugged in it is drawing more current then the port can handle. This is likely the cause of a short in the camera and is not something that is easily fixed on your own. If you still have the receipt for the camera from where you bought it take the camera back and exchange it for a new one. Otherwise you can try plugging it into different ports on your computer but the same message is likely to still occur.

Try to plug it in a different port, if still looks as if it's not plugged in, and you know the USB ports are working, then definitely the web cam is faulty.

Computer not recognizing web camera

The only other thing that I would suggest you try to do is (if possible) goto another PC or maybe a friends PC and plug the web cam in. If it does the same thing then the web cam no longer works. If it does work, then you may want to try another USB port on your PC.

Did you connect the camera before installing the software program? If you did, disconnect the camera from the USB Port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to reconnect the printer, then plug the cable back into the USB port and it shoould function properly.

Hope this is of some help. Bud

Be sure to plug in the camera in the USP Port before running this software.
As you run the program, write down the info about the camera so you will know what you have .
Double click on this site and download the Camera Diagnostic Tool and run it to check out your camera and/or problem.

I ran the diagnostic on my camera to give you an idea how well it works.
Give it a try.

Logitech Quickcam Fusion!

Instead of plugging the webcam in after the computer is running, I plugged in while it was shut down. The first time the computer booted with the webcam attached it took approximatly 2 minutes longer to boot, but every boot after has been as fast as ever. Webcam works great now!

Can't use it at all really.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
