I have a Mitsubishi WT-42315 - 42 that randomly turns blue tint. for now we smack the side of the box to fix it. i know there is something loose inside, i just need to know where to look if someone can...

The first question is does the whole screen turn somewhat blue or just the sides of the picture?

If when it happens you turn color all the way off what does the screen look like? (black and white or blue etc)

If entire screen or even just the sides look blue first place is to with set off make sure all three of the boards (one at the bottom of each tube) have not come loose and come down just a little bit.

Let me know what you find and I will try to assist.

The projector is stuck on the blue screen. It will let me change the input but it will still stay on the blue screen even though everything else is on and working.

Hello!
"blue screen" means: picture is all blue, but there is a signal coming through? Do you see channel logo? Menu? If so, blue CRT or CRT board is at fault. Depends on the age of the set. If set is fairly new, then try to bang on the neck of blue tube with rubber screwdriver hands. Very gentle! While set is working. If you see the retrace lines and TV shuts down then, CRT is at fault. If not, try to play with blue "screen" control of "focus block". Black plastic module with bunch of thick wires attachad to that. Has 3 "focus" and 3 "screen" controls. For each of the tubes. In many cases you'll be able to adjust "blue" down to normal. Usually, those controls are smeared with white paint and hard to turn by hand. Loosen those with little pliers, then adjust manually or via small "phillips" screwdriver. If nothing helps: CRT board is at fault and must be replaced or repaired. In this case you won't see any characters on blue CRT, just solid "blue".
good luck,
Alex.

I have blue dots all over my screen aa well as

Hi,
This blue dot and hue problem is due to bad lcd in your tv as its Sony dlp tv that has optics block, that is also called light engine, it consists of 3 lcds, filters and lamp to produce an image that projects on front screen.
In this tv, blue lcd became defective and complete light engine will be replaced to get it fixed.
As other expert talking about blue CRT (cathode ray tube) that does not exist in this tv and my fellow expert has no idea about this kind of tv, sorry for that.
Hope this info will help you, let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Kp-51ws510 picture issues

Bob, remove the front speaker panel and you will see a small access panel remove that also and you will see a small block with 6 dials on it. three on top and three on the bottom. Look closely at the dials and you will see focus for 3 of the dials and Screen for the other 3. The dials marked screen control the drive amount for each tube and are laid out like the tubes green dial in the middle and blue dial on the same side as the blue tube. try turning the blue tube down a little. If that deosnt help you will no doubt need a new blue tube, which is a fairly common problem with that model Sony. If you require more assistance please let me know.

Blue screen, can only go to antenna "a" or "b", then shuts off

Lets try "Kickin' the set in the Brain" and see if you can reset it, with the set on and with the remote press Menu-1-2-7-0
do that varly fast and you should arive at the service screen that will let you reset the set, This menu should already have the "Initlize " highlighted, if not move up or down to highlight it then hit "enter", This should bring the set back to the factory presets, if not you have other issues that diging around in the service menu will not fix

43FDX15B has blue lines on the screen somtimes

Try this procedure:

Adjust the green & blue CRT screens to match the red. Go into your picture menu adjust, turn color all the way down to a black & white picture. Now adjust each CRT screen so that you end up with a true black & white picture. Then adjust each focus control to get a sharp picture, and adjust each CRT focus one at a time for clarity by covering the other two up. Then go back into picture adjust and turn color half way up, you should see a better picture.

If you cannot get the blue & green to even out to a black & white screen you have other problems such as faulty CRT card on back of tube or it could even be that the video IC is faulty. If this is the case, then you may have to get a competent local technician to check the TV and get the necessary parts replaced. It could set you back between $200-$400, depending upon how many components need replacing.

You can also try a hard reset..Unplug all cables, including power from the back of TV. Wait for 4 hrs and reconnect them. Try and see if it works now.

Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. Before you assign a rating, please make sure that the issue is resolved or you are satisfied. If not, please post back as to what you did, and/or any other questions you may have, and I will try to assist you as best I can. Blue Convergence Problem

see if the leads from the green crt Pcb on the green crt is long enough to reach the blue crt. If you hook up the working green circuit to the blue tube and it still dosent light up On the screen, then you know the tube is bad. Just a quick way to test crt's,. If it does light up then you have to trouble shoot the matrix for the blue tube. The drive maynot be vorrct the g2 voltage maybe not enough so then the screen block could be bad. I just wanna warn you against the very very high voltage inside these sets even when there not plugged in. BE CAREFULL PLEASE
