Kind of unusual problem, is it a whirlpool? Dogs are used on agitator to make it turn one way. these tend to wear and break. If it is wp design and the agitator top will spin both ways by hand instead of one way then you need dogs. this means the agitator isnt functioning properly. you would need 7/16 socket and long extension to get to the bolt under the top cap, pull out agitator asm, you should be able to see them or whats left at top of asm.

OIL STAIN ON A CLOTHES out of washing machine E12477

Are they getting the oil stain from the washing machine? If so, you need to get a tech out to inspect your washing machine. If you are putting oily clothes into the washing machine hoping it will come out, it's too late, you need to pre-wash with Shout or Tide to remove oils and grease. The more you wash and dry it the deeper the stain will set. Sounds like you need to throw those clothes away.

Starting to leave brown oily like stain on clothes

The first place that I'd check would be the small metal screens inside the openings on the water inlet valve. They can get really rusted, epecially in areas with hard water, so I would recommend removing the water supply hoses and take a gander at the screens. They can sometimes release the iron oxide into the wash water and cause brown stains or blotches on clothing. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I find that the seats do not clean very well ..is there a secret to cleaning this "material" without leaving water spots or stains

if they are cloth cleaning them is very tough, i usually get a profecional to do it but if its not so bad you can rent out a carpet cleaning machine from your local supermarket or hardware store, it works quite well on car seats and carpet

We have a Whirlpool top loader Washing Machine in top order. I have tried various powders but always get powder "stains or scum" on items that have been washed. I use the "warm" cycle...

use what ever detregent you want try pretreating strians and heavey soiled items with shout. use recommended amount of soap and try not to overload your washer too many clothes will displace the amount of water in tub and also put strain on your washer which could cause failure

GE dryer, black grease stain on cloth

I have the same problem, I haven't resolved it but it seems to be due to the drum of the dryer being able to move more than it's supposed to and things getting caught in between the drum and whatever it sits in, at the front of the dryer. I have found things caught in there before and when I've pulled them out they had a brown/yellow grease stain on them. Other times something in the dryer will have this same stain - although no longer caught it seems it must have been caught at some point then became free again, with the stain. I'm thinking something is loose or if the drum is supported at the back by a bearing of some sort, this bearing may be worn down and the drum isn't sitting right.
