This appears when I configure JetDirect Properties.

This is related to firmware.
If you connect a parallel cable direct to a PC, then send the firmware directly to the printer.
This typically fixes the issue.
go to DOS command and type:
copy /b *.rfu lpt1
You must be in the folder where the RFU file is located.
You must also have one RFU file in this folder.
Good luck

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version?

This is Microsoft's answer to this problem.

This error typically occurs when the "Enable write caching on the disk" feature for your hard disk is turned on.

However, if the "Enable write caching on the disk" feature is turned off, this error can occur because the Ultra Direct Memory Access (UDMA) hard disk controller may be configured in either of the following ways:
  • You are using a 40-wire connector cable to connect the UDMA drive to the controller instead of the required 80-wire, 40-pin cable.
  • The BIOS settings are configured to force faster UDMA modes.
For more information about the delayed write failure, go to the "Delayed Write Failure information" section.

Click the My Computer Icon, Right click your C: Drive, and select Properties. Click the Tools Tab, and click Check Now under Error Checking. Check both boxes, and click Start. When prompted with the screen, answer Yes to schedule the disk check after your next restart. Then restart your computer and allow the disk checking utility to run (can take 30-60mins to complete). This can resolve any low level disk errors on your hard drive. For older drives, it's always better to shut down or hibernate your PC when not in use, as they heat up and eventually fail.

Hitachi SimpleDrive 320GB: Error moving file: Access denied!

The problem may be that your Security settings for the drive are not configured to give you Full Control.

In Explorer, right-click on the Hitachi drive and choose Properties.
Go to the Security tab.

Find the User you are trying to use and click on it.
Under Permissions, click Edit and enable Full Control for that user.

That should give you the ability to do what you need to.

If Windows won't allow you to change the setting, it's because you don't have Administrator priviledges. In that case, log out and log back in as an Administrator and go back and make the changes.
