Unistalled Wireless Adapter

Hi,
You can download the driver from the link below
http://tinyurl.com/37yj4d

1. Click on the + sign next to Network
2. depending upon your system , it would be the Intel driver or Dell wirless card driver
3. Try one at time

If you can give the service tag of the computer , i would be able to give the exact ddriver

Thanks

Unplug card, reinstall drivers and put back card.
If system is still freezing the card may be defective.

"WPC54G is not installed"

Those install programs that Linksys uses are terrible. This happens all the time.

You probably can't use the linksys program to install the software on a Windows 2000 machine you should be able to install just the driver you need. I have never used wireless networking on a Win 2000 computer before. Win XP has sotware already built into the operating systems to deal with wireless networking.

Uninstall all Linksys wireless networking software. Restart you computer with the wirless network card install and let Windows search for the correct drivers on the CD.

Have you chcked if the system recognizes the card and installs the correct drivers?
Otherwise go to the linksys website and look for the xp drivers for your model and instal it?
