Option 1
Go to Setting-> System-> Key Lock
and then choose to Lock all buttons except Power Button.
If this does not help,
Option 2
Go to Settings-> Buttons
and then remove Internet Explorer from the list.

Removing the web browser completely involves advance knowledge. You could use a modded ROM, or install a better "Add/Remove Programs" App. To learn these things I recommend reading the www.xda-developers.com.

I bought a sprint htc mogul 6800 without the cds. When I plug it into the usb on my pc, it doesn't recognise the device? I am running windows xp. I need the download to make it work.

Htc's running windows mobile are going to need a program called Activsync to properly connect with your computer. With Activesync you'll be able to share files, emails, favorites, and contacts between Outlook Express and your phone. To get Activesync click the link below:

You might have to copy and paste it into your browser.
Another helpful guide for the Mogul would be:

Some of the threads can get quite complicated, Goodluck!

HTC 6800 gets hot and runs out battery

Make sure you don't have unwanted programs running by going into start> settings> task manager, also turn the wifi switch on the side of the phone to off. Wifi will burn up the battery fast.

How to turn off the blue light

Normally, i'd say "Don't violate any traffic laws, wear your seat belt, and don't call attention to yourself, so that the Boys in Blue don't pull you over.". However, since you show a cell phone, pda, ect. I would say this is your solution. Go to Menu, Tools, Settings. Backlight, and scroll to adjust the time the backlight is lit, or to off. Or consult the manual or any store who is your Carrier, and ask for their assistance. Possibly a search on the Web at Google or Bing with your phone/pda name and model # will let you look at, read, and maybe download and print a manual for your use. But, given the complexity of the device in your picture, be prepared for a lot of ink and lot of paper if you want Adobe to print it out for you. Probably over 200 pages. Looooong print process. I would go to my Carrier's store or Kiosk and ask the Techs and Sales Reps there. Good luck. Kindest Regards, Slats.

Locked myself out of my mogul

You may have to do a hard reset.

You do this by:

Holding down both left and right soft keys (the buttons above the red and green phone keys) while pressing the reset button (on the bottom of your phone) with the stylus. Hol down the soft keys until you see a message asking if you want to reset. You then need t slide the keyboard open and press the appropriate key.

Warning: this will reset your phone to manufacturers settings; all data will be erased. Your phone, however, will no longer have a password, and you will be able to set a new one.

Old version of ROM

Looks to me like it's the verizon 6800. Go to www.htc.com/us and follow to the 6800 and download the software by phone and carrier. There is no software for any of the phones on the standard HTC site and the 6800 is not listed on it.
