I think you're using the adapter in reverse. The adapter that changes from VGA to DVI but not the other way. You should plug the adapter into the DVI out on the macbook and then plug the VGA end of the cable into the monitor. If the monitor has a DVI input then you should be using a DVI to DVI cable to hook it up.

Once you have the cable plugged in you'll need to enable dual monitors or switch to external monitor on your macbook. Don't worry about the driver's cd, they are not necessary to make the monitor work on your mac (or on a PC for that matter).

There are two great instructions on how to do this, just google for "macbook switch to external monitor"

One here.

Second one here.

Component Wii comes in as B&W. TV and PC both work well

yellow has to go to yellow. Green = Y which only allows for luminance and chrominance. Hook the wii into a yellow connection and you will have no issues. red white and yellow are composite, not component.

How do you the base stand on the Samsung T220?

I tried to pull the base stand out - no luck. I tried to wedge a screw driver in - no luck and it looked like the screwdriver could damage the plastic if pushed harder. I finally used a wide metal paint scrapper. It went in where the screwdriver would not go and moved to base enough to allow it to pulled out the rest of the way.

I bought a used samsung 931b 19 inch monitor and it did not come with the cables to hook up to PC what cables do i need?

you need either a dvi-d or a dsub cord depending on whether your computer has analogue or digital outputs. if you look on the back of your computer, dsub is blue, dvi is white. this monitor has inputs for both. the cords are available at you local bestbuy, radio shack, or office depot.

Monitor won't work after computer starts up

You need to be sure that your unit is unplugged first before connecting PC. You will see all of your startup settings on your PC. In order to view the desktop on your monitor (does not work on Mac OS) press CTRL+F5. Anoption box will appear and by holding CTRL button and pressing F5 you will see your options change.

Samsung t220 monitor

That is perfectly normal - it is scanning the inputs to find ALL cables/device plugged into it. My New Samsung 2433 does the same thing.
