Your machineis in 'flood' mode. You need to remove the left panel, and dry out the plastic base underneath.

We have a Bosch Model SKT5102GB/07 and the problem is as follows; we load the dirty washing and start the washing process, the machine then goes through the full cycle of wash. Once finished you open the...

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

Bosch SHU43C

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!

Dishwater won't stop trying to drain even when door is opened

The drain valve is stuck open. This is electrically operated, but may have some debris inhibiting movement. If you can physically move it (with the power off) this should repair the problem.

SHU43 running constantly

Intrrnal leak into base of appliance will make drain pump run constantly.
If appliance fills then dumps water with drain punp then keeps filling/draining sequence then the flow meter could de faulty.
Call in engineer.

3. if water is in the bottom panel most have a flood switch which automatically operates the pump in case its over filling

Bosch dishwasher digital readout

It sound that the problem is cause the water level switch. The switch level is a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with this specific machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Clear tube first from any obstruction, In case it doesn't help, disconnect the wires from the unit (you should disconnect first machine's power cable !!!!!) and measure with a multi-meter on its tugs for continuity and disconnection while you are inhale and blow to its tube. In case it doesn't react, you should replace it. Good luck !

anti flood device has been activated, this means you have water in the base of appliance. most likely a leak, or if you have been using 3 in 1 tablets, and rinse aid this will over foam appliance and foams leaks into base.. try tipping d/w back to let water out of base..then try d/w again... if anti flood activates again...call an engineer.. ps check big nut that secures salt container to base of d/w, it can come loose which will cause water to leak into base ally
