My garmin satnav volume goes on and off just when i need it the most. pls help

Hello
Have you tried resetting unit.
Also try a different voice to see if it is a corrupted voice.
The other thing to try is to plug in some earphones and see if the voice is effected on these.
Then you will know if it is just a loose speaker problem.

Hi my garmin nuvi stopped working completely it dont turn on anymore what should i do pete

Pete

Do you know if the unit is fully charged? I would try a hard reset. to do this insert the tip of a paper clip into the "Reset" hole in the GPS case, this will reset the unit to the factory defaults.

Bluetooth volume too low Go730

You are out of luck...I have the same unit and it wont even connect with my LG Voyager! the volume doesn't want to cooperate with anything I think it should do. I actually went with a wired headset to answer call once it did connect and forgot about the whole speaker thing.

Garmin Forerunner 305 randomly shuts off during use.

This is EXACTLY what my wifes was doing..... then it quit all together. These units seem to be suffering from a bad connection on the inside of the unit. My wife's did the same thing. There was a connection inside that wasn't making contact. First try cleaning the 4 brass connection tabs on the watch and check your charger to make sure the tabs are raised and not squished. Second try to reset the unit. Hit mode reset and power buttons all at the same time. Hold these for 3 seconds and then release. If these do not work here is what I did. There are no screws holding the unit together. I used a exacto blade to very carefully pry the unit apart along the side seam. It's not easy to do. Be very cautious and gentle. Work the thickness of the blade into the joint to gently wedge apart. You are not trying to remove material! Once apart you will see some fingers that make a connection between the upper and lower part of the unit. This is where the problem was with my wife's 305. I gently raised these tabs to make a better connection, It's been working ever since. I didn't try it before but try pressing very hard on the unit where it says Forerunner 305. The case is very hard so it might not work. But if it powers up when pushing you found your problem. Hope this helps. Here is a link I found on opening a 205 (Same process) http://ctorunner.googlepages.com/dismantleforerunner205 To put the unit back together use Automotive silicon/gasket maker. Use a tooth pick to put a VERY small amount of silicon around the entire seam. Put the two half's together and wrap tightly with electrical tape. Test the unit immediately to see if it powers on and off. If it does not open it back up and raise the small prongs that make the connection from the bottom half to the top half. If any silicon squishes out the sides wipe with water and a rag. Let the unit sit over night. In the morning remove the tape.

Volume dial- not controling properly

I think you should return the unit as defective. The volume knob should only turn to a point, then stop. Turning it upwards raises the volume and turning it downward lowers it. You should also see yellow bars on the right side of the unit indicating the volume level while you are doing this. If not, the unit may be damaged and should be replaced.

Waiting for GPS

From the Main Menu press the button underneath the spanner>Demo and deselect the first square if it is ticked>Save.

With your device turned off, press and hold the "OK" button in between the arrows and press the "On" button.

On screen you should see the "Maintenance Menu". Scroll to "GPS menu" using the arrow keys and select it using the "OK" button. Select "Perform a GPS cold start". When this has finished, press the "Home" key twice (the one with the three lines on it). Turn the unit off, then go outside, raise the antenna, and turn it on again. Keep it still for 10-15 minutes and the unit will start to pick up GPS again.

Volume control

Tap the screen on the bottom left side (while it is showing you where you are on the map). It will bring up a volume screen, and you will hear a sample voice message. You can raise or lower the volume immediately at this point, but if you wait more than 3 seconds the screen will go back to the basic navigation screen.
