I have a 50H72, seems to need the convergence board fixed. I called PTSCorp (board replacement company) and got quote for $51, I can send them my board and they will fix it. However after reading some posts on this type problem I'm not sure if I should have the board fixed or try to fix the IC's myself. I read about some problem if you replace the board because it has some setting loaded into it and if you get a new board you will loose those settings and its hard to reconfigure. Is this true? Could someone explain? I rather just send the board off for repair but not sure if that's a good idea? Also does anyone have a picture or instructions on getting to the board and removing it on a 50H72?
Thanks for your help, Dale
