The dimensions of J8x1c is 7 3/4" x 4 7/8" x 3/8" and I doubt this will fit your microwave. You should go to and custom order one.

The above mentioned filter is only the grease filter. For the Charcoal filter do a Google search for part number JX81C. That is the charcoal filter (it was in the instruction manual btw... you should read those).

On scanned the screws are most of the time covered with little rubber or plastic knobs. But when you put this question here, do you really think opening a device is the most difficult part in the repair process?
Do you already know what the defect is? do you already have to part you want to replace? If not, please don't try it yourself. Most likely you end up with a pile of things, nobody ever and reassemble to a working thing.

The scanner glass inside is cloudy

I recommend you do not take off the glass. I have done it and was never able to get rid of the dust, which really shows up on every scan. The fogging has something to do with an optical coating on the underside of the glass. If I knew then what I know now, I would let it be. If the fogging doesn't show up in scans, leave it. If it really does show up, the glass itself is often held down by simple double stick tape. You try to keep the tape intact so you can put it back down. It may be strong enough that the plastic frame on top of it could snap. Do it in as clean (not dusty) environment as possible so dust does not drift down inside the scanner. Never touch the lamp or move the scan mechanism. Again, don't do it unless it's showing up on scan results. Sadly, nobody "fixes" scanners, they are disposable, like coffee pots, even if they cost 300.00.

Which air filter for GE Spacemaker JVM 1540 over-the-range m/wave

The GE spec sheets for what is the right charcoal filter are incorrect. You will never find the right one. I have this same microwave and had same problem. I called a local appliance company and they gave me Part No. WB06X10359 and when I googled this part it was not the right dimensions. I finally found the perfect solution. Go to (Filter Factory-TTN Inc.) and they are customing making the filter for me. I spoke to Dave this morning from Filter Facotry and he's making me one with the following dimensions - 5 7/8" x 13 1/4" x 1/4". The cost is $16.95. If this fits I will order more. The more you order, the cost per unit goes down.

Scanned image appears with lines going through it

it is possible, but first try cleaning the glass with a window cleaner and a soft cotton cloth and under the scanning options increase the quality to a higher setting and see if this helps at all. You may even benefit from purchasing a new scanner if this does not work as they a fairly resonably priced and will save you the hassle of repairing it.

DS6607 incorrectly parsing PDF417 barcode

For anyone interested, I worked with the vendor to find a solution. After some back and forth, they replied:

"I have looked up the part number of your scanner [DS6607-SR20130] and discovered that it defaults to different defaults than the standard SR20001 scanner. Specifically, it pads the data transmission with spaces and implements a custom ADF rule".

They sent codes for disabling these defaults. Moral of the story: contact your vendor.

Need operating instructions

This link should have user manual etc. but unfortunately the site is down at the moment - try again later. on the singapore (east asia) site nothing obvious based on your problem, but at least it means they still acknowledge the product and that they have to support it. maybe you can spot something yourself as well. If no luck with the US website then go to and complain to any of the other sites. Their customer service should help. If no joy from this please post again, someone might know the software. Hope this helps :)
