Mine looked like that, however, it has 2 "on" buttons. The major one on the left. says on off. Put to on. Then the upper button on the right, is actually the on off/ push and hold for 3 sec. then wait, it should come right on.
Hi, this is the only way I know how to upload videos on it. 1) put in installation disc, and drag the file MTVVideoConverter_Ver22.214.171.124 out to the desktop. 2) Download any video file and convert is to mpg (mpeg). 3) Open the folder and open the file with the camera image that says video. 4) input the file onto the converter and put the output frame size to 160x128 and output frame rate to sports video. 5) When conversion is done, open your mp4 player. Go to the Menu and find settings. In settings go to usb mode and switch to msc, 6) Plug in the usb connected to your player to your computer. 7) Go to start on your computer and open the mp4 player folder there you will see the directories. 8) drag the converted file into the movies directory.
Omg 8 steps?! Haha. I hoped this helped! This is exactly how I did mines :)
Sometimes the factory accidently catched the hold button , try to turn this off first and then fully charge the unit or while attached to the computer scroll throught the menu to see what your settings are. In the end you may have to return it as there may be something wrong with it. Hope this helps.
there is no current soloution, there is a virus on the net that completly wipes all information off mp4's including the driver files, repair files and mp4 player files. the only temporary way to fix it is to either find another mp4 and copy the sofware off that and install the divices from the copied folder, or somehow download the files off the net.
