Take it apart ind see if a wire is broken. You can use a meter for this. You could test the wires on another speaker also.
I can't fix this for you, but if I helped you get it fixed, please rate it as a fixya not a helpful rating. These ratings let me be allowed to help you and others in the future.

Can I use a JX-S900 Y/C separated I/O to run two subwoofers out of same reciever??

Yes, on two conditions:

1) the JX-S900 needs to be a proper matrix switcher. It has to have the ability to route 1 input to more than one output.

2) the sub signals need to be low level RCA/phono, and not high level speaker wire connections. That's not just about the type of connector. It's about the signal going through those wires. A low level RCA/phono sub connection conducts a maximum 0.7 Volt. A speaker wire connection can transmit 30 Volts! If you put 30 Volts in to a line level switching device such as the JX0S900 you'll fry it.

Provided that the above two criteriia are both met, then yes it will work.

  • Connect the AV receiver's sub out to Source 1 - white RCA phono.

  • Connect the two subs mono LFE Left input (white RCA) or the single black RCA/phono inputs to the JVC's outputs 1 and 2 - white RCA/phono.

  • Set the source routing: input 1 goes to output 1 and 2

Why won't my a102 speakers from jamo witch came

The Jamo speakers need an AV Receiver to drive them properly. The TV doesn't have the correct outputs nor does it have the power required.

The Jamo kit consists of a powered subwoofer ans 5 small surround speakers. Each surround speaker needs to be powered by the speaker output from an an AV Receiver. The subwoofer should also be connected to the receiver, but the connection is a phono/RCA lead from the receiver's "Sub Out" socket.

Your TV connects to the AV receiver via the Optical out.

My tv has one sub output socket, but my active sub woofer has a red and white input sockets.what lead do i need to connect it up with?

Sounds like the output on the TV is a phono socket or a jack and the inputs on the sub woofer take banana plugs. You need (or should make up) a lead with a phono or jack plug one and and two banana plugs the other end. (phono plug/socket has two connections and banana plugs just one)

If you can provide the model numbers of the two bits of equipment I can check this for you.

Is there a wiring diagram for the nikkai EAPA450 Amp

Hi, if you still need a photocopy of instructions email me mail@srands.co.uk

If you want instructions in brief this involves POWER CONNECTIONS, PHONO LEAD & SPEAKER CONNECTIONS:

POWER (At the same time when routing these wires, I would connect the PHONO LEADS from the car cd player to the amp, if your car cd player only has 1 preout (1red & 1 white) then you will need two phono splitters, a female to 2 males. Phono leads carry the unamplified sound from cd player to the amp):
~ Permanent 12V+ (Thick lead that is fused direct from battery all the way to the amp, wire must be 20a to 30a +, hence 1cm diameter wire, known as AWG8, Maplin sell cheaper kits then most)
~ Amp REMOTE (A thin insulated cable (5a is OK) from car cd player amp remote wire, this turns the amp on when the cd player is on, if your car doesn't have an amp remote wire, suggest nearest ignition supply or seperate switch that you turn on when you want to turn on the amp)
~ GrouND 12V- (Insulated lead (20a to 30a) to nearest part of unpainted car chassis such as interior panel screw hole, instead of an insulated cable all the way from the batery, this is common practise.

SPEAKER:
Each speaker has a - negative & + positive, these must connected correctly. The amp has 4 channel, 2 channel labeled as front, 2 channels labeled as rear. Using speaker wire, connect cable from amp to speakers. Note: Ensure the speakers being connected only receive sound from the amp (Not cd player as well, as would damage players or at the very least impair sound)
The amp has a feature called bridgeable this means a sub 8" or 10" sub can be powered by 'bridging' two channels. For example there are 2 ways to bridge power a Sub on the NIKKAI EAPA450:
i) Sub speaker wire positive + to channel RL and Sub speaker wire negative - to channel RR.
OR
ii) Sub speaker wire positive + to channel FL and Sub speaker wire negative - to channel FR.

Switches:
~ Bass boost, meant to be on for a channel if using sub, otherwise off.
~ X-over mode adjust hi/lo frequencies, only work if both x-over switches are on! Then adjust switch frequency knob, until it sounds right.
~ Gain (Volume knob) adjust volume knob up or down, until it sounds right!

NOTE:
You will need patience! many hand tools and parts such as: Wiring kit, fuse holder 20a/30a, Phono leads, speaker cable, Fork/ring connectors, wire strippers, wire cutters, set of screw drivers, also ueful to have zip ties to tdy excess cable and 'P' cable clips to tidy speaker wire to shelf, etc.

OK

Any more questions just email me mail@srands.co.uk

Working the Sony STR-DE475 5.1 Channels Receiver

It has a dedicated sub out. you need a phono connection on one end for the amp and the other end must have a compatable connection to your sub.

You will need a phono connection to the amp from your TV. You can utilise a scart lead that has phono outputs however a TV with audio outs (the red and white leads) is the default option.

Connect subwoofer etc to nad 3020I stereo amplifier

Hi Info
You can use a 2 x male RCA to RCA female adaptor lead(what you need to ask for)  like this one 4d0dcde.jpg

use it to jumper your pre-out/main in connection on the rear, and connect an RCA lead to the Female socket on the adaptor lead. That will get you going. You can get them most places that sell electronic bits and peices. I am happy to answer any questionsa you may have
