Question about Samsung SCH-u340 Cellular Phone
Under settings, go to accessibility and turn off "soundback". The annoying beep is gone and your left with the normal key, message, or notification sounds unless you choose to turn those off also, which would be under the settings "sound" or the message settings. I saw the solution that suggested turning off the minute beep, but in my case I dont even have that feature, but the accessibility option worked.

Make sure that in the set-up, you do not have the feature turned on that makes a beep for each minute in use. This is a common cause.
