Question about Philips 50P8341 50" Rear Projection Television
Hello... I'm hoping to get some more information about something you posted. I'm a troubleshooting trainer for in a contact center in Florida. I'm hoping to get some help with a television that we are havinf issues with. Here's what you wrote:
The most common problem for this complaint is contaminated coolant for the picture tubes. If you look directly into the three picture tubes you will probably see a haze in the blue one. This is fairly common but requires a knowledgeable service man to take care of.
In reference to the technician...are you suggesting that the picture tube needs to be replaced or is there something else that can be done in order to get this issue taken care of..I'm learning by experience in my new postion, so any help would really be appreciated.
You just need to drain and replace the fluid in the tubes. Its not easy but it can be done by a DIY if they have a service manual.
