Sharp PG-C20XU, no power light

Experts,

I do not have a power light, nor any indication that the LCD is on in any way. Just making sure that this problem is the power supply gone bad or could this be caused by something esle. I have change out the plug and ensured that the side vent cap is closed.

It may be the bimetal breaker. you'll have to open the case and reset it. it's the red button on the front of the lamp housing.

Replace an existing bulb in an existing bulb cage.

it's always best not to go with the cheapest price online. you'll have to remove the screws and brackets holding the bell on, and the screw holding the plug on. if the new one didn't come with a plug, remove the plug wires from the old lamp. reverse process to install. but be careful not to overtighten, or you'll crack the bell.

If you navigate through the projector menu you will most likely find an option to reset the filter timer. Resetting the timer will cause the indicator light to stop blinking.

Dear expert my projector tv when I turn the projector on the buttons turn red on the tv and it refuses to come on. Whar do you think is the problem?

if the fans come on and no light, it's either the lamp or the ballast that needs to be replaced. check the lamp. if the inside has bulges, black spots or fogging, replace the lamp. you can get the part from a sharp service center and do it yourself or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

go into the menu and reset to factory default settings. if that does not help, you have a bad polerizer (light color filter) on one of the lcd panels. sharp will sell the individual parts if you want to fix it yourself. if you want them to do it, they'll replace the entire optical engine and charge you a fortune.
