6. If the error message
disappears, reinstall
each DIMM and EIO device
individually, making sure to
turn the printer off and then
on again as you install each
device. To replace a DIMM,

7. Replace the DIMM or
EIO device that caused the

Error in 2420dn laserjet 57.03

57.03 is a fan error. If power cycling the printer doesn't clear the message, Which ever is the bad fan will have to be replaced.
In other words you are going to have to remove the covers to find the bad fan. Or have a printer tech check it out for you.

HP Laserjet 2420dn will not print and is displaying message '49.FF04 service error'

Does the error display when printing a particular job, or anything that you print? If you have extra memory installed, remove it. Power up and try again. If it won't clear replace the formatter

this means you don't have enough printer memory installed - you need to add more memory to the printer - you need to have at the minimum 128 megs. - hope this helps you.
