Re: Since connecting to Orange Livebox
An Orange Livebox is a router. It has nothing to do to stop you from going to outlook express unless you went into the router and blocked the port. What O.S. and Internet provider do you use. Your Internet provider should be able to help you. There is no reason why you can't go into Outlook Express. Can you go to the Internet with Internet Explorer? A router sometimes has a firewall and it can block you from anything. Spyware can block you from going to the Internet. You are going to have to give me more information for this answer. Stay on the same topic and make sure that you do not start a new one or nobody will be able to help you.

how to set up Outlook 2003 to access Orange email
Article ID: kb3529
Which version of Outlook am I using?
There are a number of versions of Microsoft Outlook available. These instructions provide a step by step guide to setting up Outlook 2003, however if you use a different version, the instructions can be adapted using the settings section.
If you're unsure which version of Outlook you are using, click on Help and select About Microsoft Office Outlook. open the Outlook 2003 options panel
From Outlook 2003, click on the Tools menu and select Options.
You need to connect an ethernet cable from your PC to the livebox. You should have been supplied a grey cable with red ends. This goes into the red socket on the live box and the network port on your PC.
It probably doesn't come with a wifi card, but you can purchase one from any computer electronics store like best buy. You can even have them install it. Once it is installed you can definately connect your E-machine to your Orange Livebox as long as it supports wifi.
Outlook Express doesn't accept web based email anymore.
I recommend Outlook 2007. You will also need to install the outlook connector to be able to do it.
Right now Outlook supports Hotmail web email addresses only.
In Outlook click on TOOLS and then ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
Click on NEW and choose the Microsoft Exchange,POP3, IMAP or HTTP.
Then just follow the On-Screen Instructions.
Don't tick the box where it says Manually configure server settings
You need too set up a totally new network.goto networks, click setup new network and follow the instructions. You will need the password for the livebox and more than likely need to call your network provider. If you have a desktop pc in the building its probably easier to set up a Home network
I would suggest an Outlook Express Reinstall after you back up your address book and message list. If nothing is of importance just resinstall it because backing up can be problematic with OE being partially functional.
Reinstall OE6 You need your windows CD and you must be logged on as Administrator or as a member of the Administrators group in order to perform this procedure.
Click Start , click Run , and then type the following command:
%systemroot%inf ie - "c:windowsinf" - no quotes
Click OK to open the INF folder.
Locate the file MSOE50.inf .
Right-click the file, and then click Install . This will reinstall the files that Outlook Express needs to proceed normally. It will ask you to put your windows XP cd in the drive
