My Kenmore 400 series dryer has stop blowing hot air to dry my clothes. It blows room temperature air therefore, my clothes don't dry in a timely manner. How do I fix this problem? Thanks,

Hi Most ahve the same problem, maybe the dryer vent is plugged up , pull unit out and unplug it , remove vent and clean , then with a tester check over heat sensors at rear of dryer , they knid of look like diodes with two wires going to them , you could also by pass them with a jumper wire , BUT JUST TO TEST THEM ONLY ! it could also be th eelement , but most times it is a sensor form over heating unit , both are very cheep to fix,

My kenmore dryer starts, gets hot, runs for 10 minutes and then stops. Could it be the thermostat?

how old is the dryer?sounds like the motor is bad,you could read out the thermostats but usually when they go the dryer will still run.alot of times i go in and the motor is covered with lint,it's like a blanket on top of the motor overheating it,people don't know that the dryer should be cleaned out,you need to blow out the vent line, clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the inside of the dryer,i do it once a year and my dryer is 17 years old.next time send model number,i can look up your dryer and tell you how much a motor is and give you the part number,it's not that hard to change out the motor

Dryer works but there is no heat in cycles, just plain air drying, do not know how to get hot air, it is an 10 year old kenmore gas dryer, has a dial for time of cycle, can not turn dial to get warm or hot...

I think you will need a repairman to fix this. The gas valve coils may be bad if the igniter radiates but then shuts off before the gas ignites. A repairman can also look at the radiant heat sensor nearby the igniter and replace it if it is bad. He should inspect fuses and circuit breakers and the heating element for continuity, using a device called an OHM Meter. I don't think this is a do it yourself repair job.

9 yr old Kenmore 90 series dryer wont heat

is it gas ? next time open dryer door and send full model number if it heats for a while you have bad gas coils, when you change them out watch out for the coil with three prongs on it,there is a metal piece that sometime gets stuck in old coil when you remove it,if it happens just poke it out of old coil and slide it back on post where new coil will be installed

My dryer is ot blowing hot air

Remove the heater vent, then turn dryer on. Does this fix problem? If so then you have a block in your vent hose.
