Question about Sirius STILETTO 100 MP3 Player
My Stiletto is programmed to record Stern for 6 hours at 3AM PST and keep 10 shows. Same for Bubba at 12 noon ecept 4 hours for his show. A few months ago it started randolmly recording about 18 minutes of Stern then stopping. Some days I'd get the whole 6 hours and others only 18 minutes. Then the problem seemed to stop. Yesterday and today it's started doing it again. For backup, I also program Stern at 3AM on a S50 but of course it only records 4 hours. I don't think it's the antenna because both the Stiletto and the S50 are fed from the same antenna via a Sirius Ehco Signal Repeater, are mounted in excutive docs, and are physically located about five feet apart. The S50 records its 4 hours without a problem. Have you seen this with other Stilettos?
Daylight savings time change a few months ago messed up the timer recording schedule - you must now fix it. Daylight savings time changes will always mess up this recorder. You must reset your recording schedule.

2 other remote possibilities:
If no signal is present at the time the recording is scheduled to start, the recording will be skipped.
Make sure you have followed all instructions on pp. 55-58

You always want to ensure you have the updates being completed at a time that is most convenient for you, you can change the update time which is generally set to 3am, by going into your MENU selecting option 8 (Preferences) and then selecting option 4 (Updates) you will then be able to change the time the receiver completes updates if you desire and then please just make sure you are shutting your receiver off nightly to allow the updates to be successfully completed (this will help to prevent DVR issues). In addition, once you delete some of your recordings, powering it off nightly allows the hard drive to be refreshed and clears the deleted recording entirely. I hope this helps!
