This is a toy not a telescope. If you want to waste money on this measure the diameter of the eyepiece holder. It is either 1.25 inch or .965 inch. Buy the appropriate sized eyepiece. There are many vendors on the web. The most useful magnification is 100x so the highest eyepiece will be 20mm

This scope is NOT worth repairing, as the repairs would be more expensive than just buying another telescope.

I am trying to sell a Tasco 302675 telescope but it is missing the lens for the eye piece. What is it worth with and without the lens and how expensive is it to replace the lens?

Not very much. Maybe $30 or $40. Might be better to just donate it to a school. You can find dozens of these types of scopes for sale on craigslist.com

Just search for TELESCOPE.

Hawke HK3102 internal ocular lens unseated

You probably can't fix it, and I don't know if it is worth fixing. There is a guy on ebay that fixes scopes, but like I said, this might not be worth fixing. you can buy a new one for what it will cost. So considering it a total loss, it won't hurt for you to try. You can take off the rear just by unscrewing it, and then the cross hair tube will come out, all different, but usually a cylinder screw driver, ( a tube with 2 notches on it, or a flat piece of steel the diameter of the inside tube. ) Take it out and see what happens next, going in from the front will release the seal, but it might already be broken. If you end up with a basket case, put it on ebay for parts. Hope this helps.

You are missing the 2 inch to 1.25 inch adapter, that fits into the focuser so you can use 1.25 inch eyepieces.

I'm not familiar with the scope, is it an air rifle scope? One stroke type? If not, the backwards recoil of the air rifle is tough on a normal scope, they aren't made for that type of abuse. They work fine with a normal recoil. That is why they started making air rifle scopes. I'm sure that the internals of your scope are damaged somewhat, you can take off the eyepiece no problem, you might find something in there, loose screw, missing screw, you never know, don't get too carried away with the dis-assembly, you'll never get it back together. It sounds like the magnification ring is messing with the focus of the eyepiece. Might just need some oil. Hope this helps.

You are not missing any lens. All astronomical telescopes present the image upside down and reversed. This is normal--- no up or down in space!

This is an old problem but I will answer it--

The rattling sound is a KNOWN ISSUE with these scopes. It actually does not affect anything. The scope is what is called an acromatic refractor. ALL ACROMATIC REFRACTORS show color fringing around bright objects. You would need to buy an APOCROMATIC refractor with 3 lenses to get true color correction. These scopes are very expensive to buy.

You can also use a "minus violet" filter to eliminate most of the color fringing in that scope. If the scope cannot be collimated it should be returned to Meade.
